Still interesting

1000 Splinters

This game is way and away the best of the three episodes, with its surreal story getting more intriguing and the puzzles coming into their own. Much better than episode 2, most of which is spent solving sodoku.

I have to deduct a star for the minigames, however, which aren't fun and run very fritzy on the iPad Air.

Too bad there's no sign of a follow-up three years later, so we may never get resolution of the mysteries -- if there actually are any resolutions to be had.

Finally 3

Finally! I just pray this part is longer than the other two and just as fun. I'm not sure if this is the conclusion to the series, but I hope we really get to the meat of the story in this one. If it's not the last episode, then 4 needs to be released in a more timely manner. Never the less; episode 3, is bound to be just as beautiful, thought provoking and entertaining as it's predecessors.

Good puzzles, easygoing gameplay, weak story

Looks great, not buggy or crash-prone, lasts long enough, good but not excellent overall. Realistic little town and people. Trust me, you'll need a walkthrough, for lots of impossible-to find items and somewhat odd sequencing puzzles. Story and plot kind of non-existent, so play for the puzzles. I'll only buy the next one if I read of improvements--more action, better story, more logical puzzles.
