Love the App

I’ve used 1Password for a long time. There were a couple of disappointments when they switched to being in the app store, but as far as functionality, they’ve got the lock on password protection. Being a security professional, I was most interested in checking their implementation of AES and making sure they didn’t leave anything lying around. So far, I’ve not been disappointed, and their software seemed to implement good security practices. So I end up relying on it for all my passwords and some other data as well. The only thing I really find lacking is a place to manage things like RSA public/private keys and being able to exchange those things with other 1password users to send truly secure messages (i.e. when you really need to send that password to your wife). Also, it would be nice if you guys could get together with the folks at RSA and find a way to add RSA tokens to the software, even if you have to go to RSA to generate the token values. Sometimes I just don’t have my tokens handy, but I usually have 1Password handy… At any rate, stay vigilant and keep your password storage tool strong. Many are counting on it.

Most useful Mac App ever, without a doubt!

It was great, but just got even better! Perfect for storing and remembering all my passwords (hundreds) and securing my online accounts with unbreakable long passwords. I've used 1Password and synced with Dropbox for a few years now--makes all my secure info available across multiple Macs, iPhones, and my iPad (and with touch ID on iOS devices). The iOS companion app really makes this even more useful with everything always available across all my devices.

This app is an absolute must have if you use multiple online accounts for banking, brokerage, credit cards, etc. Also a great way to keep all your personal data that needs security in one place and available when you need them quickly (credit card numbers, passports, software license info/registrations, usernames & passwords, etc.). Keep your online life safe and secure with this app--worth the peace of mind.

Great app! …for web passwords

This app is amazing. Sync all your website passwords between OSX and iOS and even Windows! And do it in style with a beautiful app with keyboard shortcuts and the whole nine yards!

The only thing that its missing (and its a pretty big gap) is app passwords...Yes, I can find an app that has built in 1password support but those apps are few and far between. I want a way to remember my Microsoft Remote Desktop passwords, my SQLDeveloper passwords, even my VPN passwords and SSH passwords. As of right now, as far as I can tell, there is no way to save any of these passwords aside from manually copy pasting them. Don’t get me wrong, 1password makes it very easy to copy paste but there must be a better way. Some way to automatically pull up a password based on a window title or or a package name…give us something…anything!

All that said, this app is still a 5 star app for what it does. I can’t give it less than 4 stars.
