Customer Reviews

Solid Utility, Worth the $$

I was hesitant to drop the amount of $$ at first, but after purchasing and using 1Password for the last year or so, I can say it’s worth it. I tried other password managers, like Dashlane, and other simpler ones, and I found all of them to be inferior. Many times the functionality wasn’t as good, the UI was clunky, or it lacked features I thought it should have. 1Password has the functionality, the nice UI, and the features you didn’t realize you wanted until you use them and recognize how important they are.

I appreciate the fact that I don’t get blown up w/ promotional emails as well. The occasional communication from their team is nice, but they respect your time and honor you as a customer. I almost never leave reviews, but the fact that they don’t prompt me with a popup requesting a review every time I open the app actually inspired me to leave one! Good app, good developers, worth the $$.

This app changed my entire approach to internet security

My past security strategies were weak. Not “Password1234” weak, but I’d use the same password over and over, or worse, try to use a new one and forget that oh, this is the site with the special password. Eventually I upgraded to a base password + a unique addition, but even that was not secure and sometimes hard to remember. I didn’t think I could do more what with my averagely busy life. Then came 1password. Now I have unique, complicated passwords that are easy to access when I need them instead of having to remember each and every one. It’s easy to use, easy to create more secure passwords, and it even stores other information I need, across all my devices with no hassle. Very happy with this app.

Really good

I’ve been actively using 1Password and LastPass for a couple of years. They’re both great, but whilst LastPass is a bit more web-based (which can be attractive for folks that might switch between many OSes routinely), 1Password definitely offers the edge in polish on their native app. I use Macs about 99% of the time, and have my iPhone with me for the balance 1% of the time, so I value the polished native experience more than the web availability.

In any case, you can hardly go wrong with 1Password.

The only feature that some competitors (LastPass and Dashlane, for example) offer, which 1Password is presently missing, is the ability to automatically update passwords on many sites. This is useful for updating those weak passwords you’d been using since before you took on one of these password assistant apps.

Anyway, 1Password is updated frequently, and their support is excellent. You can’t go wrong.
