What's New in Version 5.4.3

Our entire development team made the trip out to San Francisco for Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference, where we had an incredible time learning about all of the great technologies coming to iOS. While we wait for iOS 9’s release, we thought we’d give you a small update with fixes for some bugs that you reported in 1Password 5.4.2. Thank you for visiting our support forums and letting us know how we can make 1Password better, we really appreciate the feedback.

== Fixed ==
- Large Type option for displaying passwords no longer leaves one character dangling on the next line.
- Swiping to copy passwords now works properly in the search results list.
- Fixed an issue where there was no way to exit the add-to-folder functionality on iPad.
- Item sort order is now consistent between Categories and Folders.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when adding a Credit Card item to Apple Watch.
- Corrected the text wrapping for all the text in the 1Password Apple Watch app when using large dynamic type.
- Creating a backup no longer causes all the helper text to disappear on that page.

1Password never prompts you for a review. We value your workflow too much to interrupt it. If you feel generous and have a couple of minutes, please leave a review. It makes a huge difference to us. Thank you in advance!

If you have passwords (& you do), you need this app

While I can’t compare this to other password managers, I have to say that this app is amazing. To achieve the full benefit, you’ll need both the desktop version (available for Mac and Windows) and the iOS version and a Dropbox account (free account is sufficient). The “Pro features” is a nice addition but not necessary to easily and effectively manage your passwords.

The struggle to manage hundreds of passwords, keep them unrelated, change them easily, etc. is now impossible for virtually all humans. With the products in the 1Password family, you don’t have to worry about that any more. Remember one really good password (i.e., the one to unlock 1Password) and you’re off and running. While it’s occasionally a little cumbersome to get passwords to enter into iOS apps, this is the nature of the environment and not AgileBits issue. They are working to have more and more apps integrate with 1Password (or perhaps it’s the other way around) and that helps.

The company is responsive to requests for help and issues, regularly updates the app, and whenever I’ve read about their approach on their website, they really do seem to understand the technology (e.g., encryption) behind what they’re doing.

Extremely Helpful and Easy to Use

This is an incredibly helpful and well-designed app for storing my many passwords in one convenient location. The password generation tool is simple yet powerful and the program is usually intelligent enough to log in to the website without manual assistance. The database can be easily configured to run in the cloud so it is accessible to all of your iOS devices. You can buy the Mac version too and use the same database on your Mac(s). Note that to do this you need to buy their separate Mac product as the iOS version won't run on them.

1Password has been an invaluable peace of mind for me to be able to create huge passwords for every account I have, and be able to store and auto fill those passwords when needed as well! The built in web browser wonderfully as well, and for extra security it runs from within the app itself.

For an iOS app, it's expensive. It took me a long time to decide whether or not to get it. One I did I couldn't believe I hadn't purchased it earlier. Account security in this day and age is more important than ever and the days of using password for your password, and getting away with it, are over.

A pleasure to use

I've never managed passwords beyond Apple's Keychain and my own little notebook of (terribly inadequate) passwords. After researching for days and agonizing over whether to get LastPass or 1Password, I bought LastPass and spent a very frustrating two days trying to set it up and get it to work right and fit my lifestyle on my Macs and iPhone. I got a refund, and bit the bullet and bought 1Password. While I must admit setting up a password manager after decades of password mismanagement is a daunting task, 1Password has so far been a great companion. It has taken me a while to set everything but it is worth the work. Very Mac friendly.… Much more so than the other application I have mentioned.

UPDATE: months later, I love 1password. Hard to imagine life before it. Convinced several friends/coworkers to use it.
