What's New in Version 6.0.1

We hope you love our 6.0 release as much as we do! Hot on its heels, we've got a little update that should squash some of the bugs that managed to wiggle into the code.

* Fixed an issue where it was no longer possible to drag .app files to 1Password to create Software Licenses.
* Fixed an issue where needless empty backup files were created while running in 1Password for Teams-only mode.
* Fixed an issue where displaying a Document would fail in QuickLook after locking and unlocking the app.
* Fixed an issue where you couldn't close an item view in mini with the left arrow keyboard shortcut.
* Fixed an issue where save pending changes would prevent auto lock timeout.
* Fixed an issue where changes after the first pending save would be lost when creating a new item.
* Fixed a crash that could occur when unlocking while an anchored mini window contained a 1Password for Teams item.
* Fixed a crash that could occur when changing the sort type in the main app.
* Fixed a crash that could occur when quitting 1Password mini.
* Fixed a crash that could happen while bringing up the main window, especially while unlocking in mini while the main window was closed.

===== What's New in Version 6.0 ====

The Force has awakened, rambunctious kittens have caused explosions of pine needles in living rooms, nog has been drunk. A new year has begun. Thank you for making 2015 so amazing! We look forward to celebrating another fantastic year with you.

Our first Mac release of 2016 is a doozy. We’re thrilled to introduce you to 1Password version 6.0! It’s chock full of features that you’ve requested, such as Teams, wordlist passwords, and a universal view of your vaults.

== All Vaults ==
Multiple vaults are amazing for organizing and compartmentalizing your 1Password items, but it’s easy to lose track of what’s where. The new All Vaults feature is a customizable global view of all your vaults. Easily choose which vaults are included in the view. See all the information you want. See *only* the information you want.

== Powered-Up Strong Password Generator ==
1Password can now generate passwords using real words that are easy to remember and type. Their randomness and length make them strong and secure.

== 1Password for Teams ==
Add your 1Password for Teams vaults to 1Password. If you’ve never used 1Password before, it’s now easier than ever to set up 1Password for Teams on your Mac with a Teams-only mode available during setup.

Don’t download Free Version and then buy Full Version

This app is great. It does everything and beyond.

My biggest complaint is that if you download the free version of the App and then buy the full version of the App, all of your previous logins are not transfered over.

I’m not sure if I did anything wrong, but upon purchasing the full version, I had to manually renter all of my logins and passwords.

I know, first world problems, right?

But, it became really frustrating after having the app work flawlessly for months, (at least the free version) to purchasing the full App and not having it work as well as I wanted it to work.

Aside from that, the app is really useful. If you use the mobile version of the app as well, such as 1Password for iPhone, it becomes really easy to use your logins and passwords on various sites.

My biggest worry is that having an app on your phone with all of your logins and passwords isn’t really safe, I think…

I used to have tons of passwords and logins in my head and all my passwords were different, but used the same pattern of words. I guess this is better, I’m not sure.

Hoping to not get hacked and have to change all of my passwords...

Anyway, wait until this App is on discount. (I got it for 30, was usually 50).

Until then, use it on your mobile because it’s free there.

Thanks for reading this review.

I got over the price of the app and got it, knowing that one of the worst nightmares I had online was keeping track of my passwords. As I went along through my regular secure places and got signed in, this app finally showed me it’s value! I don’t think I could do without this app! My banking, my work, shopping online, credit card websites, payments online…it keeps track of them all! It suggests completely nonsensical passwords of high security and remembers them and the next time I visit, it puts them in the right places and gets me logged in. I end this like I began this review I LOVE THIS APP!!!!!

From a 35year law enforcement professional that has much experience on and off line with fraud and people taking advantage of others - this is the app to have to keep your passwords safe and secure and easy to change to another one on a regular basis.

crashed at open several times, then worked fine

Updated review: Just updated to the version just released. 1Password again crashed at launch, with the error message "1Password failed to connect to 1Password mini”.

Previous review for version 6.0
I just updated to this version, and the app would not open. It crashed twice on launch, and the third time I got an error message saying it cannot connect to 1Password mini and the option was to quit so I did. For some reason, the fourth time I tried it launched normally; I quit, and relaunched again with no issues. I quit again, then launched 1Password mini and that went well, and I was able to open 1Password from within mini. I am not sure what happened, and if there are any hidden bugs that may adversly affect or corrupt my entries, so I hope the developers double check and come up with a fix.
