Put the power of the 2012 presidential election in your hands with our interactive electoral vote app. It takes 270 electoral votes to win the White House. Make your predictions by starting with one of our many library maps. With one touch you are on your way to deciding which states will go to the Republican party, which ones will go to the Democratic party and which ones are leaning, likely or undecided.
Spend hours poring through our Election History. Has California ever voted Republican? Have states ever not participated in the presidential election? Exactly who won the election in 1789? Find the answers to these questions and much more in an interactive, fun experience in our history section.
Creating your own map is as easy as selecting a map from the Library section and clicking “Edit Map.” You now have a saved version of the map you chose and can begin making your own predictions. The map is automatically saved whenever you change data and it will be in your “My Maps” section for you to view and change whenever you like. Make as many predictions and maps as you like, you are only limited by the memory on your iPad.

Not as bad as people are making it out to be
No, this app is not as terrible as many of these reviews make it out to be. It gives you maps of every election in US history, history of each state, and you can create your own projections. It's a very nice, simple app.
However, it is a very simple app. If the creators of this app are reading this, there are a few things I'd love to see in the app. For example, iPhone and iPod support. I'd love to be able to carry these maps around with me at all times. How about polls in each state? PPP, CNN, ABC, GALLUP, Rasmussen, etc I think would be great additions that would give a lot more info on each election. Breaking down the states further, by county would be so helpful and seeing who won each county and by how much. That would be awesome. Deeper information on what the hot topics of each election were about, maybe even videos and quick fun facts about each election. History of the candidates would be cool. Even history of the parties would be extremely informative. Gaffes and missteps too!
This app has a lot potential in my opinion, and I hope you guys build this out to be great! So far it's just been "convenient" from my experience. Worth the money, but not yet something I can recommend to friends.
Thanks for reading
Works great, multiple maps
I don't know what people are saying. This app is great. You can make numerous maps and store them in your "My Map" section. Very easy to use. As an added bonus, it gives you maps based on what various pundits and sources are reporting. Lastly, on election night, it promises to update a map as states are called. And if that doesn't work for you, start a new blank map and change the states yourself as you watch the talking heads on your favorite news channel.
I've looked around at them all, this is truly the best. I only wish it also had poll summaries (bar charts showing latest polls on approval ratings, etc.) like the iPhone app USA Election 2012
So far, working after reinstalled
The recent upgrades caused this app to be unstable. Once the app was deleted and reinstalled, it is working for me. If you have created maps you do not want to lose at this point, be sure to back them up before doing this. You will be able to recreate them after reinstalling and a restart. This was my experience anyway.
