4MyCab iPhone application and the associated 4MyCab (469222) SMS short code (for texting) are used by customers to book their cab for immediate or future service with participating cab companies thus eliminating the need to call on the phone. This app is provided to you by the same people who run the call centers for these cab companies so you are in very good hands when it comes to processing and servicing your reservations and will not be subjected to finger pointing - the buck stops with us and we aim to provide the best service possible to you, our customer.

This enhanced version lets you register your credit card with us so you can pay effortlessly with your phone at the end of the trip. You can also see the cabs around you before you book your order and you can specify how many riders you have so we can send you the correct vehicle (sedan or minivan, where available).

The app will let you get an estimated fare, book your reservation (for now or later and in the city you are in or where you are traveling to) and track the status of your cab as it drives towards your pickup address. At the time of booking your reservation, you can specify the date/time you want to reserve your cab for and also add special instructions/notes to help the driver and/or dispatcher to provide the best possible service to you.

Works great except for serious bug


I used this app twice in the past to reserve a cab, and it worked flawlessly. Repeat a trip feature was especially great. When I tried this time, on a new version of the app, I had to change my credit card (my old one expired). However there is a serious bug where you enter the expiration date of the card; the help text in the field says to enter MM/YY, and only accepts a two digit month, a slash, and a two digit year. However, when I entered that, a popup warns me that the date is incorrect, because it must be in MM/YYYY format. Well, that’s kind of impossible to do when the app only accepts MM/YY. Please fix this ASAP!!

Absolutely horrible. 8 hours before I needed a taxi I used this app to reserve one. 30 minutes before my pickup time I get a text telling me that if my plans have changed I can cancel without charge. I think "great, they have my reservation, everything is going to be fine." Not so much. Pickup time comes, and no cab. Wait a few minutes, and then call the cab company. They tell me that they have my reservation, but can't get anyone to come pick us up. That they've been trying, but they'll send out the request again. I needed to make it to the airport. I cancelled the cab and called an Uber. They were there within minutes.

Good luck getting back


App changed city name on pickup point. Cab services that city (Tampa), but app's city modification (University Circle...or something like that) prevented me from booking a return cab.

You need a cab? Perfect. This app probably will work. Good luck if you are dropped off. I was dropped off then tried to get back and it kept changing the name of the city and said that the particular fleet didn't service the area - this is where I was dropped off. I had to call them and wait on good for 20min for them to send out a cab...because they do service the area, but the app left me stranded.
