50 Blues Rhythms

You're nursing your brew at the local blues jam waiting on your turn. You've got a solid six or so blues grooves under your belt but darn, someone already called the Stormy blues and that SRV jam. Next guy called the minor blues ala B.B. and then, as luck would have it, the Chicago shuffle groove in the same key you do it in. Fingers are crossed but of course cat number three calls both your slow blues and that uptempo straight-ahead thing you feel solid on.

So, you finish your beer, cross your name off the list, and head out the door promising yourself that you'll get there earlier next week. Well, sit back down my bluesy friend 'cause Corey Congilio's 50 Blues Rhythms You MUST Know will keep you there all night long.

Pretty good

Unlike many...this video/software hit me at just the the right skill/knowledge level. I think they should all start posting prerequisites (they won't - it would limit purchases)... That said...

*Ability to keep time (and use a metronome)
*Knowledge of the CAGED system
*Practiced with A Maj & min pentatonic scales
*Familiarity with concept of the 12-Bar sequence

I was a drummer who noodled with guitars for the better part of 20 years so all of the above prerequisites were under my belt. I flew through the first five lessons in the software. The next few introduced bits of walking base lines, 5ths, 6ths and pr- all of which are moveable winning the chord sequence and often a single measure. Within a single afternoon, I was improvising solid riffs in the I-IV sections of the sequence. Just perusing the rest of the lessons I see many other opportunities we'll within my grasp.

To the guys who made this.... Thanks dudes!!
