Description

645 PRO Mk III has been designed, from the ground up, for professional and serious amateur photographers. So it works the way a camera works—and it’s the most powerful camera app we’ve ever seen!

You have instant access to everything that can be controlled on an iOS camera.

That means fully manual exposure control, as well as semi-automatic Shutter Priority and ISO Priority, together with fully automatic exposure with a choice of spot or matrix metering. Automatic and semi-automatic modes also include ±3 Ev. exposure compensation, while the on-screen meter lets you judge your manual exposures to perfection.

It means the choice of AWB or a selection of white balance presets—and even the ability to create and save a completely custom white balance.

And it means manual focus override—just swipe your finger up and down the viewfinder to control the lens position. And you even get focus-peaking to help you identify what will be in perfect focus!

And you have all the information you need, all the time, including real-time exposure metering, real-time ISO and shutter-speed readings, Ev, real-time GPS data and a choice of histograms. And many aspects of the interface can be customized, so you can—for example—configure the Shutter Release button to behave the way you want.

645 PRO Mk III—TOP-QUALITY OUTPUT

645 PRO Mk III combines the ultimate in lifelike "film look" output with the ability to save completely unprocessed image data at the highest quality possible.

Its gorgeous Film Modes are inspired by classic film stock as used by top photographers from the 1960s through to the present day—and if you want to edit them, and save custom, personalized films, you can. Meanwhile its unprocessed images are just that—ready for later post-processing or to be used "as is" for reportage.

Whether you shoot Film Mode, unprocessed or both, you have the choice to save in HI-Quality JPEG, MAX-Quality JPEG, or—for top image fidelity—TIFF.

And you have the option to shoot in one of seven formats, from square 6x6 to panoramic 6x17, all inspired by classic Medium Format cameras. Also inspired by film, you can add one of 21 Photo Filters, all with fully-adjustable densities.

You'll get photographs from your iPhone like you never imagined!

Drawing its inspiration from the obsession with quality embodied by top-end Medium Format film and digital cameras, 645 PRO Mk III exists purely to help you use your iPhone as a tool for composing, taking, saving and sharing the finest possible photographs.

Photographer's must have

Very awesome app that only a true photographer would love. You can choose film type and even customize to make your own. You can also use lens filters during the shot. If you are a BW photographer then this is huge for you.

Love that I can shoot jpg and raw at the same time. I always find myself leaving the big camera home only to find a perfect shot that I'm desperately trying to take with my phone. This app makes those shots almost possible because of the control I get. Any shots i take with this app will be edited on my Mac using photoshop so raw files appeal to me.

Just a couple of things that are lacking, unless I missed it:

I BIG one is the lack of aperture priority mode, which is mostly the reason why I bought this app. Is this a limitation of apple's camera usage? I really want to heart this app so much but no aperture priority mode means no love.

Wish the film adjustment ranges can have wider values and to have more options to tweak. I would also love an Acros film type.

Using the dial could be much better. Just Keep it like any any iOS button where you just move your finger left to right to turn the dial. I'd rather not have to switch to the mode where you choose from the screen.

Barley useful due to bugs.

What to say... 1. The GUI locks up after only a minute or two, so it's unreliable most of the time. Can't shoot, press buttons or anything. Just have to restart the app mostly.

2. When tapping to focus, I don't see any feedback, so have no idea of it is focusing. Why not just do it the way the default camera does? If it ain't broke etc...

As far as the functionality of the GUI goes, it's not really optimal. It's cute to make the UI mimic SLR controls, but not at the expense of efficiency. I'd rather the UI have buttons to change its modes if operation than a fake jog dial, personally speaking.

All I care about is that I can utilize SS, ISO and Aperture. And that it bypasses the firmware processing and compression. Unfortunately, there is no way to adjust the aperture. Why is that? Limitation of the API?

I'm sorry to have wasted my money at this point, but will remain hopeful that one day the dev will redeem it.

My favorite camera app.

The developer has integrated the ISO, shutter speed, manual focus and white balance camera functions into an already sophisticated interface. If you are familiar with real digital cameras you will feel right at home with the controls. If you aren't, the app contains a 62 page users guide.
