Ratings and Reviews
It’s not the original and yes the controls and game can be difficult. However once you pass the learning curve this is a great updated version to the original.
The original game on the NES was hard and took many replays to advance. This game too requires the same but that’s what makes it feel so good once you figure it out.
Had to give it 5 stars to balance the low ratings. I do wish it would have the iPhone X supported screen.
Oh, the memories!
If you grew up with an NES in your childhood, you might be familiar with A Boy and His Blob. It’s the product of something of an industry pioneer, David Crane, who was already famous on the Atari 2600 for Pitfall, Pitfall 2, and probably others I can’t recall. It was as Nintendo Hard as it gets. I never did beat it as a kid. I’m giving it a go now. It’s still quite difficult. It’s also quite charming. Give this one a try. It’s a flawless port of the Wii port of a true classic. This one has pedigree.
First of all I never played the NES version but I downloaded the game because of its beautiful art style and thought Id give it a try. So far Im loving the game. I like the puzzles and use of using the blob to get where you have to go. The story is great as well and the environments are stunning. I would suggest mfi controller support to maximize its playability. Other than that, Im glad its in the app store I recommend this game!😎👍🏽
