An Underrated Gem
While the world of A Few Billion Square Tiles is unthinkably infinite in all directions, the clan system allows players to form close-knit relationships no matter where they live. For example, I live in the United States and one of my clan members (shoutout to Nyxx!) is French. It might not be the most popular of games, no doubt due to the fact that for some reason not a lot of people know how to play minesweeper, but it’s an incredible reimagining of the concept. I can’t recommend this game highly enough. The amount of battery life it uses on my devices should be enough evidence of that. The developer is quick to respond to comments and concerns and the community at large is very supportive.
Simple but very engaging. When you start the game you are dropped on a seemingly infinite field of tiles that is shared by thousands of players. You can build your tile empire off in some unused space or next to other players. I've heard people say that they don't want to try it on their iPhone because they wouldn't be able to manipulate the tiles. I thought the same thing with my big hands but it actually works very well. I'm addicted! Customer support! Stellar! Philippe responded super quick to my questions.
I love it. It's addicting and not grindy like many other apps. The only other thing I can see to add would be a single player version maybe and a chat system possibly?
2017 update: chat is added now. The game is basically never ending multiplayer minesweeper. It's simple to play and easy to relax with. Plus there are small, optional power ups that can help you out.
