AC-7 Core Mini

Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
The AC-7 Core Mini is a wireless touch control surface for Apple's Logic music production software as well as many other environments.
This Mini version has almost all of the features of it's big brother (the iPad app AC-7 Core), and has full support for the Retina display in iPhone 4 and newer iPod Touch.
It uses iOS4.2 and higher's CoreMIDI for simple setup and reliable operation. There are dedicated modes for controlling:
MOTU's Digital Performer (v6.02 upwards)
Sony Vegas/Acid Pro
Presonus Studio One
Final Cut Pro
Other software which supports the Mackie Control protocol will work with the "Generic Mode"
Works without additional server software on OS X "Tiger" and above.
Also works on Windows XP, Vista, And 7 with solutions such as Tobias Erichsen's "rtpMIDI" driver.
Love the app but you guys have to understand that 99% of engineers do this when recording: press record-that take sucked so we press ctrl z (undo). Then we press record again. However if we are in the middle of a song and we are doing take after take it goes like this: We set an in point where we want the recording to start. Then click a place in the previously recorded section and press spacebar to play. While playing we press punch in button. And when the cursor gets to that in point the recording starts...That take sucked so we press spacebar to stop playback. then ctrl z to undo...Then spacebar to playback again(auto goes to the place we selected earlier to start playback). We then press punch in again because the in point is already set from earlier. Hope this helps. If it to confusing...just do this: have an easy to press start/stop playback button, next to that needs to be the undo button, next to that the punch in button, next to that two buttons for setting the in and out points (most daws this is the little flags at the top that we drag to highlight the waveform. Thats all we need to do the most extreme take after take session.
Big Money Saver
I'm an instant fan. I purchased this app last night and had it up and running with Logic 9 in minutes. I wish it came with instructions but a quick search in Google solved that issue. It works natively with OSX so I didn't have to install any software, just configured in Mac Audio/Midi Setup.
I purchased AC-7 because, I needed a transport with undo and record enable functions to record remotely in my booth. I was thinking about buying a Tranzport for over $200 but this app has all the same functions and more...plus costs pennies in comparison. Additionally, it's much more responsive than I expected, marginal delay. I Would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs to record remotely. If I had an iPad I wouldn't need any other control surface as this app has all the same functions as the MCU. Highly Recommended! An independent recording artist couldn't find a better way to spend $5...
Love this app
I bought this last night and it is already my favorite app. I installed the recommended rtp MIDI program on my PC, had to check the user forum one time but within a half an hour I was controlling Sonar X1 Producer Expanded from another room. I need to read through the manual or at least peruse the forum to get a few questions answered but It was very easy to get working on a basic level. (Transport, levels, etc.)
My one complaint was that the developer's website will simply not work with Microsoft's Internet Exploder 9, regardless of your compatibility view settings or other tweaks.
It would have saved me some time if I had been aware of this to start with. (I launched it using Firefox and got to what I needed immediately.
Having a remote control for my DAW is the best couple of bucks I've spent in a long time! I need to make a donation to the guy that made the rtp MIDI program for Windows as well- it works perfectly and is well documented and easy to use as well.
This set up rocks!
