*NEW*
Build 496 has a slew of changes, but most are hiding on the backend where you can’t see them. One place where you will notice some improvements is in our loading time when you open up 496—we shaved off a few hundred milliseconds! Now that’s progress. Nobody adds milliseconds to our load time when Chris is at the helm!
*FIXED*
We had an embarrassing typo in Settings that allowed you to customize “Briefs” instead of “Briefings.” While we’re all in favor of custom apparel, intimate or otherwise, we thought it best to fix this one.
We fixed an annoying bug in our tweet detail page where we refused to open tweets in the Twitter app. We now respect your intentions and open the Twitter app as you originally intended.
Speaking of Twitter, we also found a bug where replies to tweets sent from Accompany didn’t become a part of the original tweet’s conversation and instead became @replies to the original poster, but not part of their thread. We believe in the value of context (and don’t like confusing our Twitter followers), so we fixed this threading buglet accordingly.
Lastly, our new and improved News Reasons feature, which highlights why we’re showing you the news articles we do, no longer has a nearly-invisible grey pipe (|) after each news reason. This pipelet was so hard to see that our Advocacy team missed it in our original QA, but after noticing it, it was impossible to un-see. Now that we’ve fixed the bug and cleaned off our glasses just to be safe, the pipe is gone forever. This bug fix was made in honor of René Magritte, who was also not a big believer in pipes.
