What's New in Version 1.210
Issue that GPS value is not promptly saved with west longitude (0 to 180 degree) and south latitude (0 to 90 degree) has been addressed.
As close to a $30,000 Hassalblad HD3 as the iPhone gets
Really, it is the same basic automatic image correction software that real professional photographers who use Hassalblads and Sinars (which are Serious pro cameras that make your brand new "high-end, professional quality" DSLR Canons and Nikons look over priced children's toys) use AFTER Photoshop processing when they print art quality prints that measure in feet, not inches, and have five figure price tags.
The interface is illogical, it doesn't process your photos very quickly, and only has a few basic settings which will turn some people off, fine, go shoot your junk, whatever... However, if you want the most realistic and accurate results that your iPhone is capable of, this is it, and it's FREE!. Combine this with the free Photoshop app, and you're done.
To use the interface you tap the icon of ethe settings you want and then tap the button that pops up, and it will then display the options available which you choose by turning/twisting the knob, and then set by tapping it. The only one you really need is the top button: "Scene"...
If you just gotta shoot faster, then use the standard Apple camera app to capture and use the free Accusmart Editor app to post process your photos, and get almost the same level of quality.
Everything else (Except on occasion HDR) is just useless gadgetry and inferior image quality...
The camera app made for photographers
Accusmart is a camera app designed for photographers to take great pictures. Accusmart displays a level indicator using the iPads built in gyros so that you can tell if your camera is perfectly horizontal/vertical when taking the picture. No more tilted photos. The app also offers an "image stabilization" mode which holds off on taking the picture until the iPad has stopped vibrating. This avoids the blur that happy in other apps, even the built in camera app, due to the shaking that happens when you touch the screen to take the picture. You merely tap to establish focus and accusatory captures the image as soon as the camera is steady. Personally I don't care about the image enhancement features, the nicely designed interface and useful features make this camera app worth paying for. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.
Needs a LOT of improvement.
There are dozens of other free camera apps available that offer everything that AccuSmart offers and more that do a much better job and are easier to use. As soon as I finish writing this review, I will be deleting this app. There are definitely some good ideas here, like the aspect-ratio shooting option, but they need to be developed further. There is so much space on the viewfinder devoted to the menu items, that the viewfinder itself is too tiny to be workable. And the photo previews really aren't previews at all; they are more like thumbnails. All in all AccuSmart is not yet user-friendly enough to be considered a keeper on my device.
