COUNTING: Visual aid to help teach how to multiply and divide - recommended for younger kids starting out. Turn this settings off for more advance kids.
For Multiplication, a word problem may be "If John has 3 times the number of dogs than Jill and Jill has 4 dogs, how many dogs does John have?". Visually, 3 groups of 4 dogs will be displayed to illustrate the result of 12 dogs.
For Division, a word problem may be "Jeff wants to split a group of cats into groups of 2. Jeff has 6 cats. How many groups will be created?". Visually, 2 groups of 3 cats in each to illustrate the result of 2.
Multiplication / Division: Type of questions to focus on. If your child is weaker on one, then adjust it accordingly, so he/she will get more practice on it.
ADVANCED: Questions are more challenging and more suitable for older kids that have a strong math foundation.
PRIZE AWARD: After completing each level, the kids can go to the Prize Zone to play and interact with their prizes. The more levels they complete, the more prizes they will unlock.
TO PARENTS: Adjust the desired skill level you want your child to learn and practice at. As your child completes each level, the game progressively gets more challenging and engaging.
This learning tool is design to grow with your child as his/her skills improve through fun exercises that promotes a passion for learning.
Good idea for those learning to understand the concept. Pictures are not all correct (2 groups of 5 instead of 5 groups of two), pics don't always match words (pics of bees when problem says seals), and grammar is not always correct. To teach the concept, it would be better to have the child be able to manipulate the objects, i.e. drag animals into groups themselves.
Lots of visual clues
Might be good for kid who are really struggling with drawing their own pictures to help them figure out a problem, but it is better if kids created their own images.
