Acidik is a "wearable" audio visualizer and is best used in complete darkness whilst laying on your back. A unique feature of the app is it's ability to be used with your eyes closed and still experience visual stimulus. Headphones recommended.
Users looking for a Chromotherapy app will also find Acidik of interest (including Light Therapy, Colorology, Color Therapy, Binaural Beats). If you are a fan of the Dreamachine (Dream Machine) or other devices that create closed-eye visualizations, closed-eye hallucinations or Ganzfeld effect then Acidik will help produce similar effects.
Imagine being front row at your own private concert or rave, immersed in light and sound. Or experience deep relaxation whilst floating in a sea of light as you meditate to your favourite music. That's Acidik.
Words can't really describe the effect, it really is something you have to experience yourself however we have created this video to provide a better idea of what to expect.

Balance your iPhone or iPod Touch resting across your eyes and experience a multicoloured light show that reacts to the beat of your music or ambient sounds from your environment. Several different colour themes are included to suit your mood, or set the theme to cycle mode for greater variety.
Acidik can even be used with your eyes closed and many users prefer this method compared to eyes open, the warmth and pulsing colours of the visualizer will shine through your closed eyelids providing a uniquely immersive and relaxing experience. Or open your eyes and look deep into the screen for a totally different effect, we like to call it TRANSCENDENTAL.
Acidik does not require any third party VR goggles. The immersive visual effect works best on larger screens such as iPhone 5 and up and is also compatible with iPad, however due to the size of this device we recommend using the app as a more traditional visualizer, viewed at arms length. Or send the visualization to your big screen via Apple TV and Airplay.
>>> Note: We do not recommend use of the app if you suffer from Epilepsy or photosensitive seizures. <<<
The app is not compatible with DRM or cloud stored audio files (including streaming services) due to technical limitations.
This app contains ads that can be disabled via in-app purchase. If you enjoy using the app and think it's worth a few dollars, we would greatly appreciate your support.
Minor bug fixes and adjustments to ad network.
Ratings and Reviews
Not sure if I like it yet bc I can’t turn it off.
That will be a big factor on weather I like it or not. Still gave 5 stars for the hope you will add iPhone X support bc I think that’s why I can turn it off. Not even in the app anymore and the music is still playing as I type this. When I try to manually turn it off it just starts right back up. Help! I really wanna turn this off. I think I’ll have to hard reset my device to make it stop. Ps, Why no updates in 2 years? I like the concept! Trying to find something similar to Lucia no. 3 device minus $20,000.
Really enjoy using this app! Only downside is that when music is being played and you enter listening mode it pauses the music and when you resume the music the visualization disappears. I'm assuming this is a bug that will hopefully be fixed in a later update.
Thanks for the feedback. I assume you may have been attempting to use Acidik with a streaming audio service such as spotify/pandora/cloud etc? Unfortunately we are not able access protected audio streams or locally stored DRM protected files. If Apple policies change regarding this we may be able to support those services at some point in the future. Note that "listening" mode is intended for use with ambient sound in the room where you are listening, it uses microphone input so will react to your own voice or music playing on another device etc.
Love the app. Love the colors and pulse. I just would like to see the colors clearly. It’s too blurry. I feel like I’m blind when looking at the screen. Love the app just want to see the screen without feeling the need to get glasses.
Hi there, thanks for the feedback. Given the proximity of the screen to the eyes you will not be able to focus and should not try to, the blurred effect of the particles is by design. I suggest just relaxing your eyes or closing them completely, the multicoloured light will still actually shine through you closed eyelids provided you are in a dark room and the effect is quite surreal after a few minutes. Hope this helps.
