The Actor's Audition Log is an essential, organizational APP for the professional performer that's updated and designed for all venues of the performing arts. It lets you keep detailed track of all current and past auditions as well as expenses incurred such as mileage, parking, coaching, etc.
At the end of each entry there is a place for notes such as, thank you's, postcards sent, change of address' and, of course, note worthy gossip.
Bug fixes caused by calendar.
Ratings and Reviews
Skip it, guys.
Instead of a review, I'll just post the response I received when the app asked me if I had any feedback. Enjoy! First, what I suggested:
Me: 1.) when I place a comment about my gut feelings let me see the whole comment not just the first line I can't see the rest of it unless it's in edit mode
2.) remembering the Casting locations once they've been entered would be nice also casting directors as well.
3.) immediately being able to enter information on that audition would be nice.
4.) having access to my calendar so I can get reminders and map for locations of new casting offices would be nice
5.) some sort of differentiation between auditions I've done and auditions I'm about to go on besides the star rating
Here was The reply:
Thank you for your message. However, perhaps you are not using the APP right. For most of your comments/complaints all you have to do is go back to the original entry and fill in what you want. i.e. enter info after the audition. The same applies for your 5) - if you filled in all the data, you've obviously been on the audition! For map locations, just go to your iPhone. Once you've been to a certain location it stays on your iPhone unless you delete it. Just click on the address! This is a $4.99 APP, not a computer.
DO NOT BUY
App crashes every time I try to enter a date of audition. Waste of money
I was really disappointed after buying this app! I thought it was going to be a great tool for me as an actor to keep track of my auditions and all the information. There was a bug in the app I found with the search engine (it just force quits itself) which I found within the first minute of trying out the app.
Also I wish there were more input options. It only gives you "producer" "director" "casting agent" and we all know as actors those are RARELY the people in the room with us. It's usually an intern or a associate artistic director- how can I search for those people (with a broken search bar) if there isn't even a place to type their name in? Also there isn't anywhere to store who the accompanist was- which for musical theater people is good information. I would want to remember if an accompanist was bad or amazing.
I really just wish I could have my $5 back and keep doing it the old fashioned way and write everything down on paper.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
