If you or a loved one suffers from hearing loss, nasal blockage , snoring, sleep apnea, or sinus infections, this app is for you. The Advent app focuses on three areas: hearing loss, snoring, and sinus issues.
The hearing loss section allows the user to hear what the world sounds like to individuals with varying degrees of hearing loss. In addition, users can test their hearing on their device. Finally, users can take a simple quiz to determine the severity and impact of their hearing loss.
The snoring section allows users to "get back" at their snoring partner. This section offers a continuous loop of snoring. The user can turn on the loop and place their device under or on their pillow. Your snoring partner can finally understand how annoying snoring can be. This might be just the ticket to convince them to seek help. Users can, also, take a quick quiz to determine the severity and impact of their snoring.
The sinus section offers a comprehensive quiz to determine how much sinus infections and nasal blockage are affecting you.
In addition to the above, the Advent app provides users with a wealth of information, videos, and treatment options for those suffering with hearing loss, chronic snoring, and sinus issues.
What's New in Version 1.1
-minor bug fixes
This app is great! There are so many helpful and entertaining uses to it (ahem, annoy your snorer). I really liked the hearing loss simulator. It allowed me to understand better how people with hearing loss hear the world. The graphics were also really neat. I loved that the basis of the app was medical folders. It is super easy to use very helpful and informative.
Really nice app...
I used the person snoring on my mother in law. Hopefully it will clue her in to get her problem looked at because she snores super loud.
Thanks for such a neat helpful user friendly app
Blasts your ears at recommended level
Do NOT turn the volume on your earbuds all the way up when using the hearing test. It will blast your ears and hurt them! This is a poorly designed test because it goes back and forth between very low volumes and VERY high ones. At the very least it should advise you to NOT wear earbuds for this test. Geez!
I have no idea how good or bad the other components are because I didn't check them out.
