Ratings and Reviews
The app hangs up on the initial screen and then once it kicks in about five seconds later it reinitializes itself - absolutely a large pain in the rear. If I could have another source of information concerning AFN TV and whether I would be using it. Another bad item from the DoD FEN (Forced Entertainment Network) community for our military, civilians and retirees living/working overseas.
I just downloaded the new and improved version of this app and the initial screen does come up much faster ... it’s now been 12 minutes and it has not loaded any of the AFN programs for this area. PLEASE FIX
Good But Room for Improvement
In general, the app works good and works as expected. But there are a few short falls in the TV listings section. First is on my 12.9 inch iPad, the listing only utilizes 60 percent of the screen leaving an empty space at the bottom. Also, when scrolling forward to advance to the next day, it only advances one day forcing you to manually use the date section to select the day. The app should allow continuous scrolling instead.
Correctly shows what’s playing half the time
It’s a good app as far as stability and potential but the schedules are frequently incorrect. Only half the channels are listed, and not by channel number or in order that they’re on my tv. I think the issue is it doesn’t know what’s really playing in Kwajalein.
