Update 2/27/2015: After a long while of no updates, i've decided to completely rewrite AirWX! If you have ideas for features that you'd like for me to consider while i'm developing please let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: Due to changes on the FAA website I am no longer able to provide approach plates, and AFDs. The app still can be used as a quick way to review weather in your area. Unfortunately I have also decided to no longer support the application. The weather services will continue working, but there will no longer be any new updates. My apologies for any inconveniences this might have caused.

Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger uses AirWX. Shouldn't you?
Sully: "...AirWX app is a tool that pilots use to get detailed aviation weather reports and forecasts, but it's also useful for the general public to check weather at departure and arrival airports because the reports are decoded into plain language." (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20110503/us-travel-tech-tools/)
NOTE: METARs, TAFs, and NOTAMs have international coverage. All other features are for US Pilots only: Maps, Charts, and Approach Plates...etc.

What's New in Version 2.3.4
Bug fix for 3-letter identifier airports (such as D95).
Just okay. Too slow for iPhone
I've had this app now for a most two years. After each app upgrade, the app seems to work slower and slower. Sometimes it takes so long to retrieve data, that I've given up all together and just called the local ASOS number. I have the latest iPhone and it continues to be a slow app. I've switched to another aviation weather app that is lightening fast, with no b.s. This on has the potential to be great with its easy features, but it just drags. This is unacceptable when in the flight line to get a last minute and up to speed wx check.
Use it all the time!
Been an airline pilot for 10 years and this is one of the first apps I got when I got my first iPhone. Fast up to date weather. Airports at a glance vfr or ifr and winds. Wx Maps. E6b functions(I don't use to much). Naca charts which you can down load(don't know if they're legal to use). Fantastic!
I have no idea why the app developers can't massage this app to do simple things, like stay in “landscape” mode. Since its inception, this app's greatest strength was a very good “quick view” of selected weather stations — and it stayed in landscape mode, which most iPad users tend to use (iPads are somewhat of a laptop replacement, after all.)
Well, I'm moving on to other more capable apps.
