The first time you go, it's an experience you won't forget
I've lived in Texas since 2002 and discovered the Drafthouse Cinemas when the closest theatre was the Village. I remember waiting outside and watching the time as it clicked ever closer to the 45 minute prior to the film when the doors would open and everybody would make a mad dash to find the best seats.
I remember when we moved to Leander and Lake Creekbecame our theatre of choice. Most of the movies had roped off areas inside for the people who got there early enough. We would go as much as 2 hours ahead of time just to wait.
We did this because the overall experience is great. We'd rather wait for a time that a movie is not sold out rather than try a Cinemark theatre.
The concept of dinner and a movie, together, was fabulous and the food is usually pretty good.
The waitstaff is always courteous and even when they're slammed, they still remember the sweetener you asked for.
The Alamo Drafthouse isn't always running at 100%, but even at their worst, they're still pretty awesome. They even agreed to play a 3 minute pre-movie video we'd made from our daughter's videos when she took friends for her 16th birthday. HILARIOUS!
We love the Alamo Drafthouse and can't fault them on anything other than not enough handicapped parking spots.

Plain and simple: if you're lucky enough to live near an Alamo Drafthouse, use the app to make a great experience that much smoother and easier. The app has all the info you need for each screening, runtime, whether it's Alamo for all or Dolby atmos, all of the info is right there. It's simple to use and saves you time you normally spend in the lobby figuring out which tickets to get, so you can get inside and enjoy the pre movie content that much sooner. It's easy to pick your theater, your showtime and date, and seats in about 30seconds. Plus, it's the easiest way to earn victory points for free movies. Like I said, if you're lucky enough to live near an Alamo, don't movie like some plebe, movie like a pro and download the app.

I am a devoted Drafthouser and having this app is a must. It really is easy to use and I trust purchasing my tickets through the Drafthouse more than through another app/site.
The Drafthouse is an amazing experience and seeing a movie there is always a pleasure!
It was difficult getting my account activated and synced with the app, but now that it is- it's a pretty easy process. Best yet, you can purchase your tickets on the app and if you are due a discount (military, senior, etc..), they will make the adjustment at the box office when you arrive- win! Win!
