Alchemic Phone - Alchemy in your pocket

Are you a good Alchemist ?

You are tasked with rebuilding the universe, bit by bit, or rather Element by Element. Starting with just 6 Elements (no, not just 4) and combining them using your skills, wits and knowledge, you will unlock 1700 more and 26 Realms.

Do you think you can you discover: Atomic Energy, Zeppelin, Chuck Norris, Atlantis or even ‘Angry Birds’ ?

Similar games include Doodle God, but please note that this is brand new, built from scratch, taking the concept directly from the old 80s ‘Alchemy’ and reinventing it in the process.

The game includes 1700 discoverable Elements, but grows with updates and your suggestions. In fact if you have an idea for a combination or feel that two elements should react, the game provides a direct link for the suggestion.

As you progress, you will find new Elements which will unlock more Realms

Gamecenter scoring is included (but you can also have fun without it), giving big rewards for target key Elements or unlocking new Realms. You also get a Target Element of the Day !

Plenty of achievements, reach as high as becoming Cagliostro or Paracelsus

Finding some key elements can be a (reasonable) challenge but it wouldn’t be fun otherwise. A multiple hint functionality that doesn’t spoil too much of the research process is available.

Shows Realms. By tapping on an element tile you can see the reactions where it took part.

Helpful and interesting, you can access an Element page by tapping on its name.

Years ago I used to play another, much more popular game like this on my old phone. Couldn't remember what it was called, so I searched for "the element game" and found this. Even though I since remembered the name of the other game I played, I think this one is much better. I think it is both more encompassing, and it's FREE! So, if you are looking for a game like this to play but you don't want to pay to play that other game(you know, the one whose name has to do with a type of drawing and another word for a deity), try this first!

I'm not sure what people are talking about with regards to being hard to see, perhaps there are a bunch of old collage professors trying to play the game with bad eyesight. As a matter of fact, given how much science is involved in this game, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone in collage playing this.

I can't recommend this enough at this point. I haven't played long enough to see if the breadth of combinations are really as large as they claim, but again, the amount of things I've already found suggests that the results can get pretty specific, which is a good thing!

I found this little gem entirely by accident, and have to say it's one of my happiest app discoveries yet. Until now, I never even liked chemistry. But heck, I thought I'd give it a try.

After a day or so of playing with it, there came a time when I saw the word "adobe" in a crossword puzzle elsewhere, realized that I knew how to make adobe, remembered that I had just what I needed to create such a thing back in Alchemy, went there and did that.

And then there was the incomparable moment when I accidentally created Kansas! Am I good, or what?

I limit myself to only a couple of discoveries a day now, because I want to make the game last forever. There's a huge amount of content here, but what if I find everything? What then?

Finally, there are the ads to mention. They are small, tasteful, and placed unobtrusively at the bottom of the screen. Imagine that...

Bottom line, I can't say enough good things about this treasure!

I was looking for this gme for my iPhone forever.. it's the perfect game for your random five-minute session of actually enjoying yourself without TV, or some other mind- numbing activity..It's not 100% accurate because it can be silly sometimes, too.. but that's what I like about it.
