The story tells about the final days in life of the prince Alexander Nevsky. It’s a fantasia-film, an artistic interpretation of historical events. The author expresses his opinion on the role of the Great Prince as a politician during the Mongol invasion. The film depicts the prince’s spiritual conflict and his role in the fight between good and evil. The film is full of reflections about the death, the way it comes to people under the mask of war, maladies or the merciless time that wipes all the traces of the bygone generations off...

"But in every generation warriors are born, which are able to enter again into the eternal sphere of life from the circle of death. Alexander Nevsky was one of those great warriors - a defender of life and a victor over death."

Alexander Nyevski

This is a short animation about the last years of St. Alexander Nyevsky. It is very dramatic and well narrated. It seems to emphasize an almost apocalyptic version of the saint's life.
The opening and closing credits uses a Kyrilic variation of Steven Clark's Font IkonWrite (with added characters) The music is a sort of a generic "Dramatic Film Music" type that one often hears in Movie Trailers, that seldom make the actual film. The Narrator speaks clearly and dramatically and pronounces the Russian words well. It is definitely worth a watch.
