Teaches children how not to run a business

D_M 78

This company is horrible. I downloaded this app to teach my son how to manage money. Paid $49 for the card. It took 5 weeks and 2 phone calls to have the card sent. Then, within a month, the functionality of that card was shut down in order to transition to a chip card, to be received in mid February. It’s March 7. No card.

The mechanics of the app are not easy to grasp. Off card, on card, add funds all do not seem to mean what they should. Tried to add funds so my son could use the card to buy a video game and was told in the app to wait until he gets his new card. It hasn’t worked for 2 months.

I called and requested cancellation and an immediate return of my parent fund balance and the initial $49 fee for the card as this has never been fully functional in the 4+months we’ve had it. Customer Service had to be prodded just to provide me an email confirming what I was told over the phone. I won’t hold my breath.

Wish I could give zero stars

This app is a joke, I transferred money from the parent fund so I can transfer to my son's card. It says his card isn't activated although his card has been activated and used for years. Then "customer service" says there's no way to transfer my money back to my bank account from this app so the money is just sitting there freely. Funny how the guy I messages with is the SAME guy that answers when you call the so-called 800 number they have listed and he has a strong accent that's indicates he's clearly INDIAN. All I know is this... my money BETTER BE TRANSFERRED BACK TO MY CHECKING ACCOUNT ASAP! Or this will become a legal matter. And no the matter I had prior has been resolved but now there’s a NEW PROBLEM, I’ve been waiting months for a new “chip” card for my son and I keep getting excuse and excuse and still no card!!! Where’s the card?!

Developer Response

Dear Jae Lust, Along with other support reps, Faizan does man the chat and answer phones. We do this to provide high quality and consistency to the user experience. Evidently we fell short in this case, but our records indicate that this was resolved. If this is not the case, please contact us to let us know and please consider modifying or removing this review.

Tough at first but worked out

I have to admit that I really struggled with the service when it was first launched. The program has gone through several iterations and since it’s launch I think it is become vastly improved. Issues that I had were addressed promptly by none other than the CEO of the company. My kids loved using the cards and motivating them selves to do their chores to see their card balances go up. Overall recommend.
