What's New in Version 2.0.4
Decent app, with all the mountains
I’ve tried a few apps over the years, but this is the one that has been most reliable. Other apps I’ve tried don’t have all the mountains I ski (eastern skier). The maps are pretty good. There was a time you could see yourself on the trail map, but I guess that’s gone now. I would love to see that back since getting confused on trails can land you quite a ways away from where you wanted to go.
It does a pretty good job tracking runs and stats, though it screws them up from time to time. Most likely due to satellite coverage i suppose. There are times when the tracker catches every turn.
MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE HAS A FULL CHARGE
The tracking devours battery life, and will kill the phone in fairly short order.
Looking forward to the Buddy feature. Would love to see an ability to make notes on the recorded tracks so you remember what trails you loved/hated, what kind of day it was, other stuff like that. Also, a mountain rating feature would be cool too!
The only skiing app you need
I used to have 1 tracking app and about 4 snow report apps, but all snow does everything and does everything better. Tracking is so far ahead of all the other apps, and having a log of runs is awesome. Snow reports seem to come from resorts' websites, but either way they are 100% accurate. Offline trail maps are handy at less familiar mountains w/no cell coverage. This app w/GPS on and tracking used 25% battery for a 9-4 ski day. Looking forward to seeing your friends on the tracker.
Best ski tracking app
I've used SkiTracks for three seasons, but this year I switched to AllSnow, and it is great. The ability to track which runs I've been on is fantastic, and the map is much better than the google satellite image that Ski Tracks uses. Still could use some additional stats, and an even better map overlay would be great too. All said I'm extremely happy with this app.
