Upgrade your HAM license from General to Amateur Extra! With the elimination of the Morse Code requirement, there is no reason not to upgrade your license to the highest level to obtain all privileges!
Amateur Radio License exams are composed of questions from a pool. Use this application prior to taking your exam to review and practice all possible questions. Then, test your knowledge with practice exams!
After completing your first practice exam, the question pool screen will display your proficiency in each question group for all practice exams you have completed.
You may choose to receive immediate feedback on right and wrong answers when taking a practice test. On practice tests, questions in a group will not be repeated until all of them have been used.
Some questions require you to review associated Figures. These figures images may be zoomed and panned.
FCC rule text is viewable within the application. All sections can be browsed from the main screen. Additionally, for questions where rule sections have been identified, the rule text can be viewed on the question screen when studying the question pool or reviewing test results.
An in-progress practice test can be resumed if you exit the test or the application.
Additional screenshots are available on the support site.
Current Extra question pool is valid through June 30, 2016.

This did it
I used his app for the general and a month later passed the extra. I did use the arrl book and cd. They were very useful to learn the subject matter and how did they ....get THAT answer. The cd still has one withdrawn question in it even though there is an auto update feature??? It does flag wrong questions in sections but not in practice exams???i called arrl 4 times but no return call or answer to my question??
This is where this app makes your day of passing within your grasp. It shows you immediately if you got it wrong. I ran 23 exams and then went back into each exam and looked over every flagged question. Here is some info for you.
The 'randomize answers' option only randomizes the answers for each question.
When you take a test, the questions are always randomized. A question in a particular group will not be reused until all other questions in that group have been used. So, if there are 12 questions in a group, you will not see a repeated question in that group until you take the 13th test.
In order to see every question on a test, you need to take the number of tests equal to the highest number of questions in any group. So, since group E5C has the most questions (23), you will need to take 23 tests to see all of the questions.
When I was studying for my General class license back in 2007, I downloaded a flashcard program on my PC and created customized flashcards for each of the questions in the General class questions pool. This resulted in a nearly perfect score on my General class exam. However, given the number of questions in the Extra class pool, this didn’t seem practical.
This app offers a similar benefit to using virtual flashcards and has allowed me to study anytime and anywhere I happened to find a few free minutes. I was able to review the questions with the answers shown, review the questions answering the questions myself to test my knowledge retention, and take practice tests with or without randomized answers. One of the most helpful features I found was the ability to review the test statistics in the question pool after completing practice tests. This allowed me to focus the majority of my time on the sections I scored the lowest.
Every few days, I would reset the statistics, take 3-5 practice tests, and then focus my time on the sections shown statistically to be the most challenging for me.
2 days ago I sat for my Extra class license and passed with an impressive 90% after only a week of studying thanks to your application.
A wonderful app!
Three days before my planned test date for General, I got a wild hair and decided to go for extra. No license study manual, just this app and me looking up areas where I was having issues.
I started out in the 60% range on the practice tests and didn't start scoring in the passing range until the next day. By the day before test day I was consistently passing the practice tests, and passed element 4 with a score of 86%.
A wonderful experience....
