Turn off the TV get back to Music

We’ve been Prime Members since day one. Only last summer did we find Prime Music (PM). Because we didn’t know Prime Music existed we’ve been satisfied with the playlists Pandora and XM dished out to us on our cars and Bluetooth speakers.
Discovered PM while on a rainy vacation at our cottage. We used an Echo we got for Christmas. Over the week discovered you can play full albums. I’m a classic rock fan. Most of my record collection was sold or given to my kids at college. Back home we subscribed to PM+ and restored my vintage audio gear. Ive got an iPad dedicated to only this system, set to hq stream, unlimited buffer. Run the output through the headphone jack for some improvement over BT. The quality is almost CD
Now instead of watching TV we’ve been listening to the soundtrack of our youth and discovering other artists from the golden age of rock.

Not a bad way to browse and enjoy music

Recently switched to the unlimited plan and overwhelmed with the amazing selection of music. The app handles searching and browsing decently well. You can make playlists and download albums for offline listening, which is a must at work and on the road. I also enjoy the ability to share my playlists and albums for others to see or listen to.

My only negative comes from the sheer volume of music available. When you create a playlist and download your variety of songs to your account, they all show up as full albums in the “My Music” section. I understand why it does this, but it is a bummer to find and browse your own collection of albums when you wind up with a bunch of “one-off” songs in there. I wish you could tag them as a playlist album and not have them all show up as individual albums in your music section.

Prime music - mostly prime enjoyment

Brrr no morrrrre

Update- still like the variety but there are way too many songs in the general categories with Explicit lyrics - why not move them to an Explicit category. I'm no prude but some of these explicit songs are not enjoyable.
Prior review - I've been listening to Prime music for at least 2 years. The variety is fantastic. But I liked the prior version much better because it was easy to glance right away st the different genres of music. The version that I uploaded about 3 months ago either doesn't have a search by genre readily available or it's buried somewhere in the layers upon (to me) incomprehensible formats. I can find previously listened to playlists but can't find playlists grouped by genre.
Still a great variety.
