You can now shop in Mexico on Amazon.com.mx in the app
A step backward
Latest version broke the "Orders" screen. The product info text was removed and now displays just a thumbnail and delivery date. I can't tell what most of the items are. Use words!
Update: thanks to a tip from another reviewer, I deleted and re-installed the app, and now the Your Orders screen is back to the way it was before, showing all the details instead of just the delivery date! If you're getting the new crappy detail-free Your Orders screen try that.
Still no real point to using the app over using the web page. Can't preview music, buy MP3s, leave feedback, rate or comment on reviews, and no one-click for marketplace purchases. Why use the app?
Overall the app is fine on my iPhone. One huge problem that happens frequently: If I'm on a page of reviews reading and accidentally touch the screen anywhere near a button (More, Wishlist, Cart etc.) while scrolling and accidentally leave the reviews page, there is no way to get back to the screen or even that item. I have to perform Search again, scroll down through all of the products and hope to find it again. There should be a Back or Last Screen option.
Missing a critical usability feature
I'm not particularly sure since which version this has been a problem, but this latest release still does not respond to tapping the top of the screen on an iPhone to automatically scroll back to the top. Very annoying if you've scrolled pretty far down your search results or reading reviews.
I'd love to see the bottom menu buttons come back. It's an annoying UI trend to hide everything under a hot dog button. An option to switch back to the persistent bottom menu would be fantastic. Especially for iPhone 6 Plus users.
