This application from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) is designed to help in the search for and safe recovery of missing children. It includes:
- A real-time feed of active AMBER Alerts including information about the victim, the abductor, and other details like the kind of vehicle they may be traveling in or the area where they may be located.
- A listing of missing children from NCMEC including photos and any known details about the circumstances of their disappearance.
- A listing of missing children from NCMEC organized by the states from where they are missing.
If a user has information about a case or has seen one of the missing children, they can press a button and automatically call NCMEC’s toll-free 24-hour hotline 1-800-THE-LOST (800-843-5678), or send a report that includes their current GPS coordinates and their phone number in case more details are needed. NCMEC staff will use the information from these calls and reports to potentially help law enforcement recover the missing child.
This application is represented by the AMBER Alert logo and includes a listing of all active AMBER Alerts but does not actively notify the user when a new AMBER Alert is issued. For active notification, NCMEC encourages all wireless subscribers to register to receive Wireless AMBER Alerts™. Through that initiative, they can sign up at www.wirelessamberalerts.org to receive text message notices about AMBER Alerts that have been issued in their area.
Please consider downloading the AMBER Alert and Missing Children Application and signing up for Wireless AMBER Alerts. You might be able to help an abducted or missing child come home safely. For more information about this application and other ways that you can get involved, please visit NCMEC’s website at www.missingkids.com.
NOTE: If you are having problems with the application, your iPhone or iPod Touch may be running low on memory. Try rebooting the device to free up memory.

Needs a bug fix!!
The current Amber Alert page shows nothing. There are currently 2 amber alerts but the picture and all the information (name, age, city, state) is all blank. Been like this for weeks.
But the tabs for "missing children" and "missing by state" are working fine.
Tried deleting it and reinstalling with no success.
Otherwise it's a great app when it gives information.
Would like to have push alert notifications. I don't know about alerts unless I open the app.
Great App but needs improvements
I love this App but there needs to be a way to set it so you can get Amber Alerts in various states/places. Also, there needs to be a sound or some way to know there is an Amber Alert without needing to open the App. Settings for these that you can customize would be great. Otherwise this is a great way to look up missing children/people by state although you have to scroll through.
