Re authorize App each time an update??
What is the purpose of re-off the rising and having to contact American Express by phone just to off the rise my phone because I upgraded to the newest version of the Amex app? It’s irritating and pointless, especially when they claim it’s just for minor bug fixes. Not my problem and I should not have to call them each time I upgrade. PS nowhere (that I can locate) trouble shooting for this exact issue on their website even though it indicates to go to their website for assistance. The only choice that I have found is you have to call. Ridiculous. Only one of my other credit cards does this exact same thing, naturally I’m giving them the same review. But I would expect more from AMEX platinum!
User-friendly and efficient
I highly enjoy using my amex mobile app. Honestly, even though I’m aware of all my account information and previous transactions, I sometimes just use this app to occupy time. It’s usability is phenomenal and I commend the format and design of the app. There are never technical issues with accuracy of charges and it’s always up to date. I also really like the fingerprint capability for signing in. Recommed!
Balance nowhere to be found
I find it really frustrating that when I want to find out my balance I have to act as if I'm making a payment and look for the payoff amount.
Also, my spouse and I are on the same account, but he is listed as "primary". On his version of the app, he can see everything but mine doesn't have visibility to his transactions. This is no help since I'm the one reconciling to accounts and paying the bills.
