Get back to nature in Animal Crossing™: Pocket Camp, the new Animal Crossing mobile game where you take on the role of campsite manager!
You're in charge, so you can decorate your own campsite however you like! Make it fun, make it cute, make it sporty—it’s up to you to craft the kind of furniture and amenities that will make your camp a must-see for animals visiting the area.
Steps to Creating Your Best Campsite
- Help Animals As You Explore!
While visiting different recreational spots, you'll meet new animals who could use a little help. They'll be looking for fish, fruit, bugs, and other things to get their camping adventures started—and when you help them out, you'll earn Bells and craft materials in return!
• Craft Furniture and Amenities
The craft materials you earn by fulfilling animals’ requests can be used to craft all sorts of furniture and amenities for your campsite.
Just open up the Craft menu and place an order with Cyrus, the hardworking handyman from Re-Tail on the Road. Then sit back and wait! Or, if you're in a hurry, you can move your order to the very front of the line by using Leaf Tickets. You can purchase Leaf Tickets with real money, or earn them through regular gameplay.
• Your Campsite. Your Way.
The joy of the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp game is creating a space that suits you and your style.
Your campsite can be anything you like—from a traditional space that celebrates nature to a flashy fun house with concerts and rides. It's all up to you!
You can also customize your camper, visit your friends' campsites to get ideas for your own, and meet new animal friends as you explore recreational areas!
• Host Animals at Your Campsite
As you grow your friendships with different animals, they'll want to visit your campsite. Craft and decorate with their favorite items, and you’ll be able to host them whenever you like—even if you change up your decorations completely!

Charming, with only minor drawbacks
Let me start by saying this game is beautifully designed, relaxing, and keeps me entertained enough to look forward to my MANY logins each day. I almost gave it 4 stars because of the few drawbacks which I'll mention in my review, but the overall charm of the Animal Crossing series and the additional content in the game (like the new holiday themed goals and furniture) helped push this to a 5 for me. The clothing and furniture to collect as well as the short and long term goals give me plenty of things to accomplish, and make the game a continually rewarding experience. There are the drawbacks that any Animal Crossing fan is used to such as the slow pace, which in this game is set by timers, as well as repetitive dialog and interactions with the campers. The steep increase in crafting time on newly unlocked items is also a con. I wouldn't necessarily take these things out of the game, and I'm not surprised or disappointed at the micro transactions either. But for some people I can see how these things could be frustrating. If you play at a slower pace the way traditional Animal Crossing is designed for then it likely won't be much of an issue, but the impatient folks like myself may be tempted into buying more leaf tickets to speed things up. That being said, the game can still be thoroughly enjoyed without spending a penny. It's without a doubt the best mobile game I've ever played, and one of the only mobile games worth your time.
Too much and not enough
Ok, this game is good. As a long-time fan of Animal Crossing, I love having an easily accessible, anytime version. Playing goes smoothly and it’s easy to Level up (I’m at a lvl 36 after just a couple weeks.) You can play as little or as much as you want. If you run out of requests, just keep collecting and then sell immediately to stack up the cash (bells.) I do miss the variety of other Animal Crossing games. Right now, I’m really enjoying this game, but I hope there are updates really really soon, because I could see this getting old fast. I wish there was a wider variety of things to collect and varied places to collect them. You have to go to the same few places to collect the same few things. I really miss the museum as a way to showcase my collection!! But even still, I would give this game 5 stars if only I could EXPAND MY CAMPSITE!!!!! Since I’ve been doing all this crafting, because you have to have certain items in order to be able to invite each different animal to your campground, I have amassed tons of cool stuff and there is really not enough room to put even 1/8 of it in my campsite! There’s no fun in having to make so many items that you can’t do anything with! I NEED MORE ROOM!
Review for veteran AC players
This is a really nice distilled version of the animal crossing on the DS, in that it offers many of its features but in a simpler way, and has unique features of its own such as a reputation system for animals with quests, and customization of a camp site and van and more. The game is very worthwhile and relaxing to play especially before bed or when commuting.
To compare with the animal crossing DS, you can customize your camp site like you would with your house, but have less options for furniture, and rooms. You can fish and catch bugs and I am really hoping that they add a collection book and more fishes that are rarer and harder to catch like in animal crossing because they don’t have that at the moment. Another feature I’d really love is that if we can customize our city but changing the floor design so we can make streets as well as planting types of flowers. There is no museum, art gallery, home upgrades, nook store upgrades. I’m really hoping that this game fares well and that they add those nice features progressively to entice us to keep playing. I would personally be willing to pay the price of the regular AC game to have those features added.
