Not user friendly

This app takes me back to 2004 when I got my first smartphone. That's not a good thing however as back then streaming apps where atrocious and required a pen and paper in order to watch your favorite tv series unless you want to stream for 20 hours strait just to watch your favorite tv show. What I mean is that you have no way to track your progress on a show in-app so if you have to shut the app down you will have to brows through a long list of shows (non-categorized) and pick your show, and after finding it you must remember what episode you where on and what time you left off on the video. It's also horrid for not remembering who you are when you log onto your premium account. Although the $6.99 premium isn't to terrible it's still overpriced if you only use the phone app and don't stream using your computer. It's not very hard to program scrips that track video progression, and watched episodes for the user to be able to pick up where they left off, nor is it to expensive to buy one of these scripts. I wouldn't recommend using this app at all and would suggest you use something else until the company of AnimeNetwork figure out how to jump back to the current day and age.

Why would you even?

Really? Really? This app at one point used to be my first choice for anime on the go, but now it's just disgusting horrid. Frankly, this is an app that has always had bugs, and crashed often. Through the anticipated updates, they have been slowly eliminated, but it was never a 100% solid app like crunchyroll has always been. The only thing this app had over crunchyroll, was it's ability to allow you to stream over either wifi or cellular data without having to be subscribed, and now, you can't watch anything with this app without buying a subscription to this half-assed app, and this includes the shows that used to be open to everyone. Overall, it's just a really stupid pointless app. Don't even bother downloading, let alone subscribing to this crap. I'm deleting this app now. Save yourself the headache and just go with crunchyroll.

Don't bother.

Unlike the website, where you can legally stream subbed anime without paying a cent (for most shows), this app REQUIRES you buy a subscription to there services in order to watch anything, even if it is normally available for free publicly on there website. If you're looking for an app to stream anime for free on mobile I recommend you just install Crunchyroll or Daisuki , which do have subscription services but aren't required to stream everything. Some shows yes, but not everything. On the other hand if you already have an Anime Network subscription you'll have a blast with this. If not just load up the website on desktop.
