Annoyster - The Random Reminder
By Mobipartners LLC
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Annoyster is the quickest and easiest way to create short random reminders for anything you don’t want to forget. Just tell Annoyster what you want to be reminded about and you will receive random reminders until you tell it to stop. Annoyster is perfect for things that don’t make it onto your calendar but are too important to forget from your todo list. Annoyster is also great for repetitive tasks that you want to be reminded about in order to develop new habits for yourself.
Annoyster is simple to use. Just create a reminder, or an annoyster as we like to call them, then select the start date and time, choose your frequency level, and setup repeating reminders if you choose. Your annoysters are sent to your iPhone with push notification technology and when you receive the push notice you can tell Annoyster to Stop Annoying Me, Edit My Annoysters or Keep Annoying Me.
You receive the first push reminder at the start time you select and then you receive additional random reminders until you tell Annoyster to stop. There are 5 frequency levels for receiving ongoing random reminders ranging from 15 minutes to 6 hours.
The Quiet Time feature allows you to turn off reminders during certain times or while you're sleeping.
Choose from 11 different sounds to customize your push reminders, or select silent reminders to receive quiet pushes to your phone.
What's New in Version 1.2

I have ADHD so I use this app on my iPhone to remind me of important activities or deadlines I would normally miss due to getting distracted. What really works for me is the randomness of Annoyster whereas I seem to tune out other apps and iCal reminders with routine & regularly prompts. If I am really worried about a deadline then I can use the frequency of reminding settings to really drive me to task. I would have given it 5 stars except the need to be cloud connected is sometimes problematic, especially if my iPhone and I are in a place with both Wi-Fi and 3G unavailable.
Cannot do without it!
This is one of my favorite apps. I use the "What are you doing?" alarm, which makes me chuckle, esp if I'm in public or I hear it in the other room. Its the best reminder for little tasks that I would likely forget during the day. I use it constantly. Makes my husband laugh when it goes off too. Love it!
OMG! This app is so annoying!
Really, some of these sounds are jarring. But that's its job.
I would like to suggest that the reminders not be dependent on an Internet connection. My iPod touch 2G is not always connected to the Web; not because I can't get Wi-Fi access, but I often turn off Wi-Fi to conserve battery life when I am away from my desk and I need my touch to do some work.
