Imagine if you dig a hole to another side of the world directly below you. Where are you gonna be? This app made this easy.

The antipodes of any place on the Earth is the place that is diametrically opposite it, so a line drawn from the one to the other passes through the centre of the Earth and forms a true diameter. For example, the antipodes of New Zealand's lower North Island lies in Spain. Most of the Earth's land surfaces have ocean at their antipodes, this being a consequence of most land being in the land hemisphere.

Could you find all place on earth that wouldn't have antipodes on the ocean?

Just locate your location on centre of the screen (the line intersection), and press "Antipodes" button. And see magic happens.

Press "Locate" to show your current location.

Longtitude and Latitude displayed on screen are provided for reference purpose.

It works

First, I was hard to figure out what the Antipod button is (what you need to click to dig), it’s the flag on the bottom left of the screen. Wish once it dug thru, it would “put a pin” in the location. Where I end up is in the ocean, and that’s all I see, to zoom out to see the nearest land, I lose sight of where I was, so a pin marker would be nice.

As noted elsewhere, there is no way to see what is on the other side of the globe, which was the point of the app in the first place. All I get is a map and beautiful google earth image of my home location.

There is no button to display location or location on the other side of the world. Scam.
