"It really has the potential to become the standard software musicians use to learn. Most of the work I do nowadays I do with the help of Anytune. It is an essential part of my way of learning now."
- Jazz Musician Sixten Bergman
***** "I love this app so much!! It helps me for practising and transcribing songs. A must have app!!"
***** "Get this. - I’ve been using the iPad version for a while and I must say I’m happy the Mac version is out. Got the moment it came out. You should do the same. I’ve tried all others; nothing compares. It’ll save you hours upon hours."
***** "Transcription Heaven! - I’ve been using Anytune for the last few months and find it an essential tool in my musical education. I’m not an employee but I have Beta tested this version. I used to use ASD but find Anytune to be much more powerful and very intuitive. I use it primarily to slow down songs and transcribe notes for my bass. The slowdown function works great and the waveform visualization makes it incredibly easy to pick in/out points for every bar. Combine that with the powerful filters and you’re set. The ability to add lyrics and have them scroll in real time doesn’t hurt, either.I also have this on my iPad. It’s as important as my bass itself. Thanks, Anytune!"

Excellent tool for learning songs from the music
I've used several other tools that provide similar function for slowing down, looping, etc, etc. I think the interface provided by Anytune is the best I've seen. I love the various waveform displays and how they can be used to locate places in the song, set marks, etc. The only area where I find it lacking is the ability to play along with guitar tabs. Yeah, I know, better to learn by ear, but I'm almost 50 (yikes) and I just want to learn songs and play for fun. If I'm going to play along with a tab, I like the ability of the Go PlayAlong tool to sync Guitar Pro tabs with backing tracks. So I use both tools -- Anytune when I'm trying to learn the nuances of the song from the recording, and Go PlayAlong when I've got the song down and want to play along using tab with a backing track.
I use this to learn banjo and guitar songs (bluegrass and folk), and being old enough to remember slowing down records to 16 rpms, I find this a joy. I would like to learn more about the equalizaer settings so I could better isolate the banjo tracks. The ability to alter the pitch and, of course, the tempo, is special to me. It’s a wonderful way to work on speed on the banjo, much more fun than using a metronome. I am sure I am only scratching the surface on the capabilities of this app, but it sure works for me.
An absolute must have for slowing down blistering tunes
I’ve used several other slow down programs, and this is by far the best.
I also have it on the iphone so I can use it anywhere when I’m on the go.
I use it almost every day, mostly to learn how to play Django Reinhardt solos, and i no longer rely on lessons or transcriptions to pick up licks and learn complicated solos.
