Love the whole trilogy

I've played this and the entire trilogy on both the Mac and the iPad and I adore it. Have played it many multiple times for several years. I have not had a problem with the game crashing at all. I consider the Adelantado Trilogy almost the perfect game - it's non-violent, you can choose the difficulty level (many difficulty levels from which to choose), it's immersive, gameplay is long and relaxing while still presenting challenges. My only slight niggle with it is that you can't save your progress mid-level: this can be a problem because each level is long and if you have to stop playing before reaching the end, you have to start the level over again when you next open the game. However, because I adore this game, I wouldn't take a star off the rating for this - I just don't start a level unless I know ahead of time that I've got at least 20 free minutes to finish the level. I highly recommend each game in the Adelantado Trilogy (and I wish they'd make more of them!!!!!)

Yes, DO buy.

Yes, it's true that the game often crashes. And that not being able to save progress is a pain. But if you are looking for a lot of interesting game play without having to kill things every other second or dying yourself if you make a mistake, this series and this game delivers in spades. This is time management adventure fully realized, with a complex story arc and loads of interesting challenges. And you get a LOT of game play for your money. It's almost impossible to win the later levels the first time you play them, so you can go back and replay right away or just continue with the adventure. So as someone who spends a good amount on adventure and time management games, I feel like I've gotten loads of value for my $$. And I'm happy to support a company that is creating the kind of games I want to play with a few bucks while they work out the bugs.

Not ready

I love this series, played it on pc and savored every installment. But as enthusiasts know, these are long levels. No capacity to save progress and the game crashes repeatedly after second level make this game unplayable. I cannot progress as a result . The first chapter and of the trilogy played thru fine, even with the foolish refusal to gather resources after breaking vessels, just like in the pc version of the first chapter of the trilogy. This chapter of the trilogy fixes that, just as in the pc game. Workers rally from the closest house as well. But the crashing without saving makes this a beta versions at best. I'm so looking forward to the fix to rate this five stars. For what it's worth, I'm on a first gen mini. Who knows, maybe later hardware is the key.
