What some of the parents using AppCertain are saying:

“My son had a constant addiction to apps. It got really bad. He was constantly download apps and never doing any work. Parental controls didn’t help—he always found a way to get around them. So when I read about AppCertain, I immediately installed it on his device. I was able to monitor when he downloaded apps. He could no longer claim that the app had previously existed on his device. He became scarred and stopped downloading many apps. His grades went from Ds to B+’s...Thank you AppCertain for helping my son succeed. You’ve been a life saver.”
--John Bikof

“AppCertain gives me peace of mind by allowing me to safeguard my daughter from inappropriate content without even looking at her phone.”
--Anne Lopez

“I really like the AppCertain service. Being able to keep track of all the apps that my stepson uses is a lifesaver. We have it on my stepson's iPod and the family's iPad. It's been working great on both.”
--Ed Schwartz

"The experience has been great - really fast and easy to install. Took me less than 30 seconds and now AppCertain keeps me up to date on my family's apps."
--Collin Otis

“AppCertain was easy to install and keeps me informed about the apps my daughter is installing and using. It's a great safety net.”
--Jean Dumais

“So far, I'm loving this service. All descriptions have been accurate.”
-- Frank DiMaulo

"When we got the iPod touch for our son, we wondered how to control it... I stopped doing the research when I found AppCertain."
--Gary Allen Jr.

Started out a 5 now a -1

This app was great in the beginning, I was able to manage my kids devices with ease, but after a couple of weeks I started to notice some problems. One, was when turning curfew mode on it would be hard to tell if it actually worked and the only indication would be a message saying apps pending. Secondly, when I tried to turn curfew mode off the app stopped responding then when trying to deactivate the app it would say turn curfew mode off first before deactivation, but it doesn't respond so how could I do so. So in the mean time I have an a angry teen wondering why she can't use her apps. I had to manually delete the app then go back to the App Store and download it again but it still doesn't work. This is very frustrating especially being that I
spent money on this stupid app to add another device prior to me knowing of these problems...I want my money back if this app doesn't even work.

Has potential but has one big flaw right now

The potential of this app is tremendous because you can ‘flip the switch’ and literally cut your child off. The scheduling feature is great too. I gave it 2 stars for one reason, because when you disable it, any folders you created are gone and all apps are listed in alphabetical order. I knew this going in but did it anyway. My son has 147 apps so if we didn’t know about this, it would have been devastating. Yeah it was a pain to put them all back in, but this alone is a major turn off. My son is quite organized and if you are too, DO NOT get this app. Otherwise, if you don’t have many apps or put them in folders, this truly does the job.

Worked at first, but then quit, want a refund

I loved this app at first, on one device. Struggled after paying $5 to add to a second device; it didn’t want to install. All was fine for a few weeks. Then the second ($5) device mysteriously stopped sending updates. Emailed the company, said they were working on it. It’s now been 85 days since that device has sent an update, and 23 days since the first device has sent an update, and I would like a refund. This is now utterly useless and has been for THREE MONTHS. Had it kept working, it would definitely be five stars.
