Bad iPhone X Pre-order Experience
I got in to the website before the app let me in to pre-order my iPhone X. The website told me I had to finish the process in the app because I did the pre-approval for the iPhone Upgrade Program through the app. Once the app finally let me in, I was up against 2-3 week delays. It’s a pretty bad experience to have the Apple website tell you to finish a process on this app and for the app to not let you do that in time. Been a loyal Apple customer since I was young. Had the first iPhone and most that have been released since. It’s frustrating to be so loyal and do everything Apple asks and then be treated like this. Leaves me wondering what more I have to do to get what I want?
UPDATE: I’m bumping up my review to 4 stars since Apple was able to deliver my phone just 3 days after launch day despite the initial 2-3 week expected delay. I still contend that the pre-order experience was a bad one, but I suppose Apple successfully underpromised and over delivered in my case.
Horrible iPhone X preorder experience
I got on as soon as the app opened to preorder, I had updated all my info for billing and shipping in expectation of having everything ready to preorder as quickly as possible. Used Apple Pay to finalize my purchase and before I could remove my finger as I realized all my info was wrong and old info even tho I had checked and double checked my primary info! I could not cancel the order and just redid another order because I knew he first order would not go through since all my billing and shipping info was wrong! Then apple canceled my second order because you can’t have 2 orders of the new iPhone! So I was left with no orders! Apple could not help me and I went from ordering the new iPhone within minutes to having to reorder it 2 days later when apple canceled my second order without any notice! Now I have 6-8 weeks to wait! Horrible!
Apple could care less about customer service
Waited up all night to pre-order the iphone x or 10 or whatever these morons call it. First the app crashes and my November 3 batch order gets pushed back to Nov 24 because they can’t keep their servers running. Ok fine, last Thursday get an email that Apple has cancelled my order for because according to them I tried to order too many phones. I asked them to show me the proof but they couldn’t and said I needed to re-order a phone. Great customer service Apple. Called back to make sure my account wasn’t hacked and was told they weren’t showing any multiple orders and my account was good. They cancelled my order had me thinking my account was hacked and then they led to me about it. Apple s arrogant and disrespectful. Will not buy another product from them. Sure miss the days of Jobs as ceo.
