Is this a scam?
I tried getting help using this app. I seriously it's a great app but at times I'm not sure if it some that works for Apple, some random person I'm communicating with that's trying to help or at times some hackers. I had talked to an advisor and the literally was not making sense. If I could just get consistent communication from Apple that would be great. If an advisor that to remote in my computer why does some agents can access my computer with my ID attached to it and then others have my access this site then installs a program on my computer that is not an identified install. This does not make sense but when the app works correctly I can give it 3 Stars. Fix the issue with not being able to review chat history. Whenever I try to read my chat history it's not there.
Update: This app and service still are awful!!
This app is absolutely horrible. The experience makes me, as a customer, feel as though there is no support from Apple. The app makes it difficult to just simply search for articles.
I admit, however, trying to call Apple is far worse. The fact that I can sometimes get a rep on the phone, doesn't mean it is always resolved during the call. I am often transferred to a different department. During which, the call gets disconnected after a long wait. This sometimes happen in the support's chat feature, too. But not as much as on the phone.
I honestly do not hope this is anyone's idea of "insanely great" service or support. In person help really depends on who you’re assigned to, for the store closest to me.
Apple Support App Corrupted
I think the app is corrupted. I get advisors on chat line who keep transferring me to other advisors only to get disconnected or I see reconnection issues. I can see the new advisor sending me messages, but I can’t reply because it’s still trying to reconnect or there’s an error message that there’s a network error or something to that effect. And when I do get help from one of the advisors, he was too keen on having me reinstall my MacOS or to even do a complete erase of my Mac, even though later I found on the Apple Support page that there were other options that can be done before going that route. I couldn’t help feeling that the tech advisor might not really be an Apple tech advisor and might just be a hacker.
