A solid wargame!
I like this game and have played this style of game from the days of “Ogre” and “GEV."
nice game. like turn based strategy war games. scope could be wider with more varied approaches. still its a steal. readable units, nice map. there are some line of sight rules for artillery
that u have to guess at . overall i am well satisfied.
I bet this IS a fun game… If only I could figure out how to play it...
The reviewers seem to like this game, and like me, they seem to be old-school turn-based strategy fans. Warlords 2 types. Anyway, they seem to have magically figured out how to play this game. I can't figure it out. There is no tutorial. It took me three games before I figured out how to recruit things from my HQ. Supposedly, my "Troops" can capture buildings (they enemy's can), but when my unit of Troops is next to a building, clicking on the building does nothing. What are the strengths and weaknesses of unit types against other unit types? I don't know. I obviously assume that bazooka guys are good against armor, but what are robotic sentinals good against? I don't know. What land units can attack air units? I don't know.
So like the title says, if you can figure out how to play this game, then it probably is fun. If you can't, then like me, you'll be cursing the developer for not including a tutorial.
