The Armenian language is one of the oldest languages in the world and is written with the unique Armenian Alphabet.
In this app you can see many common words used in the Armenian language. The words are written in English first and also in Armenian using the native alphabet as well as the with the latin alphabet to help with the pronounciation and a picture is seen that shows what one is looking at.
The common word categories that have been included are the following:
•Food and drinks
•Habitation and furniture as well as household appliances
•Calendar with weekdays and months
•Body organs and parts
Many words that are used in every day language are found here.
When you clicks a page a sound automatically runs so that you can hear what you is looking at. You can hear the sound again by clicking on the sound icon seen on the page. The creator of this app hopes that it will be a useful tool to teach children and adults some of the common words in the Armenian language.
Ratings and Reviews
Is this app even finished?
I was really hopeful with this app, since I've been searching for an Armenian learning tool to engage my kids. Even though it was pretty basic with zero frills, and the words aren't all kid-friendly, the pictures accompanying the words seemed good. Unfortunately, it doesn't work properly. It seems unfinished. In every category, I was able to click through just a few words before it would just show the app icon and stop. Very disappointing. I'm giving it 2 stars for potential. Keep working on this guys!
I Don't Think it's Finished
So this app would be pretty awesome if it was complete! The pictures are accompanied by the Armenian word and how to pronounce it, with the audio. However, most of the pictures in each category are incomplete and go straight to a picture of the homepage, and you have to navigate back to the beginning to choose a new word or category. Other than that, this app has been a serious help to me! Just needs a little work and it'll be really nice.
