What's New in Version 4.15
This week's changes only affect users on beta, so the for the rest of you: a hastily-written limerick:
There once was a fellow named Dustin,
Who brained up together with Justin.
With coding arcana,
They founded Asana!
But their poses still need some adjustin'.
Very basic design and functionality. Nowhere near the elegance of the web version. Standard iOS functions (3D touch on iPhone, attaching files from a location, keyboard shortcuts, etc) are missing. Overall, it's very stripped down from the web version, but not in a good way. Tasks that can quickly be done on the web version become tedious and time consuming on this version.
If you're looking for a good iPad project task manager, there are much better ones available. However, if you're already an Asana user on the web, you're stuck with this. It will keep your tasks in sync, but you won't want to use it for much more than that.
My team of five heads in different directions with crazy schedules during the summer. My boss was worried about being able to move forward during the next few months. I set up a sample project on Asana to share with everyone at the last staff meeting, and we were all using it before the end of the day! It is so much easier than e-mails and wondering what everyone else has already done.
Been using this for a few team projects and it's helped us to stay on the same page, gauge our progress, and collaborate when distance or emails make it more difficult. I appreciate that we get the first 15 collaborators free perfect for what we need. I work for a college access program. :)
