What's New in Version 4.3.1
Fixed: Some users experienced repeated crashes on launch.
Still a poor, feature-lacking UI
I love the web app! However, this iOS app is clunky, slow, and takes too many steps to do things that are easy to do on the web app. Also, not having offline access is a major drawback. I only use this app when I just need a read-only view of my tasks. It's not good for much else.
Some missing features:
- Changing a task to "Later"
- Adding an attachment that isn't just a photo. (The developers do know that adding files from iCloud, Dropbox, etc is baked into iOS now right??)
- Adding a subtask AND assigning it to someone at the same time.
- Adding tags at the time of task creation.
- Native offline access (or, if Asana insists on being online-only, then at least increase the speed! Waiting for is app to refresh all the time is painful.)
I understand that an iOS app is going to be different than a full screen Mac web app (especially for iPhone). But at least get the iPad version on-par with the web-app version and more than just a blown up iPhone version.
ok not great
My team loves the web app, but the mobile and tablet really are handicapped in comparison. Not sure why a service like Asana would under value iOS so badly...beef it up if this is actually supposed to be a professional tool.
Cosmetically pleasing, seems ok for viewing tasks but it has no notifications (like the todoist app) , so it makes Asana as a whole impossible to rely on for quick actionable tasks that need to be completed immediately. Would switch our company from todoist if this is an offered feature.
Its also a bit complex.
