Aspiration Spend is a non-interest bearing account with electronic transaction functionality. Aspiration Save is an interest-bearing account. Full disclosure about Aspiration Spend and Aspiration Save is available in the Spend & Save Supplement to the Customer Account Agreement.
*All ATM withdrawal fees will be waived for your Aspiration Spend & Save Account. In addition, your account will automatically be reimbursed for all ATM fees charged by other institutions while using an Aspiration Debit Card linked to your account at any ATM displaying the Mastercard®, Interlink®, Cirrus®, or Maestro® logos. The reimbursement will be credited to the account within 2 business days of the ATM fee debit. Please note, there is a foreign transaction fee of one percent that is not waived, which will be included in the amount charged to your account.
**The Annual Percentage Yield (“APY”) associated with the Aspiration Spend & Save Account is variable and accurate as of 2/19/2019. Rates may be changed from time to time without notice. To earn 2.00% APY in any calendar month, a deposit of at least $1 in that calendar month into any Aspiration banking or investment account, or a single end of day Aspiration Save balance of $10,000 or more during the calendar month is required. If neither of these is met, the APY will be 0.00% for that calendar month. Minimum deposit required to open a Save Account is $10.00. PWIF fees debited directly from the Save Account could reduce earnings.
Customers will earn Cash Back on all debit card purchases. Customers may also earn additional Cash Back for purchase made at selected merchants. Cash Back percentages are subject to change at any time without notice. Cash Back will be credited to customer’s Aspiration Spend Account once at the end of each calendar month. Aspiration reserves the right to reverse Cash Back transactions under certain circumstances and the right to terminate a customer’s Cash Back feature for any abuse of the feature. This Cash Back reward program is subject to change by Aspiration at any time without notice.

My checking account balance was incorrect not accounting for a direct deposit which should have shown up instantly. No problems for a year now so not sure where the hiccup is. Frustrating customer service operates via PST. Going to the online log in through a web browser is no different and does not show my correct balance. What is the point of online banking if you can’t even see what your account balance is on a given day?
Now I’m being forced to “upgrade” my account changing all my account numbers and routing numbers for every single one of my direct deposits as well as any auto paying accounts. Worst of all they decided that they cannot expedite new checks for me in order to make the transition seamless at work and state that they can only send me checks that takes 10-14 business days. This will be after my new account opens and my old account is closed therefore I will need to pick up paper checks and deposit them. Customer service was unhelpful and refused to budge on this. Hope the 30 bucks was worth loosing a customer. I’m going to switch back to chase as soon as I can. Save yourself the hassle and go with another bank preferably one with better customer service who are open during normal business hours for people living in areas running in eastern time and central time. NOT WORTH IT.

Worthless bank with useless staff
Aspiration is one of the most worthless and quite frankly, utterly useless “banks” I have ever encountered. Thankfully my unfortunate mistake of signing up with Aspiration; will be other people’s gain. I will have no problem describing what a pathetic joke the feeble attempt at providing customer service Aspiration and its intellectually deficient staff provide. I can only imagine how it would be nothing less than a total embarrassment if I had to admit to people; that I worked at, or was in any way associated, with such a disheveled, and unbelievably pathetic wreck of a company, that Aspiration truly is. Seriously. I would say that perhaps Aspiration can bilk their investors out of more money so that their totally incompetent and worthless robot customer service staff could be trained on what “customer service” actually means. Alas, I believe that would just be an exercise in futility. I simply cannot wait to be the first person in line to attend the party that will be held upon the news of this company’s inevitable, and 100% deserved, abject failure. I can hardly contain my glee because the thoughts of Aspiration being dissolved into total non-existence is a delight of which I will always be ready to enjoy. Always.
TL;DR - ASPIRATION AND ITS USELESS ROBOT CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF ARE GARBAGE - JUST LIKE THEIR “PRODUCT”. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD!

From Good to Terrible - Disappointing
I expected some hiccups when I signed up with Aspiration last year going from a big to “small” bank, but thought things could only get better and had high hopes for the kind of bank they “aspired” to be. I was wrong. I have had multiple account issues over the year including extremely slow transactions or balance updates and it was difficult/disappointing that they do not have 24/7 support, but at least during business hours they were easy to get a hold of and helpful. In the last month, it has completely fallen apart. They forced everyone to transfer their accounts and get new account numbers which creates a serious hassle having to switch EVERYTHING over from electric bills to car insurance payments. The actual money transfer was extremely confusing and my last paycheck was direct deposited into my old account due to an update delay by my employer. That money is inaccessible and I called Aspiration where I was on hold for 45 mins before being autoforwarded to voicemail. I did this twice and left two messages and ALSO EMAILED - all before 10am MST. Days later and I still do not have my paycheck or even an email or call from this “bank.” Extremely disappointing...
