Does not render. Need directions and support.
It looks like this could be a fun board type strategy game. However, the text does not render on a macbook pro os x 10.8.5. Specifically, I'm talking about the text in the menu and game control bar. There are no game directions. There are no posted FAQs. And there is no support email. I agree with the other review that the execution is extremely poor. Please post fixes, how to fix and directions.
first time playing - no instructions - did not know how to get new units - by the fourth game - computer has twice the fire power - it stupid do not have a chance in hell played another World commander same thing - played these as board games - if you dont have a chance what is dthe point - waste of money
For Old Board Wargamers
This app is a rendition of the old fashioned hex war-games of old. The flaws are self-evident, and the other review does a good job of elucidating them. I have played this game and would like to see more scenarios, a change move option (when a mistake is made it can't be recalled: "I saw a better move, but oops") and an option to build units in captured locations; it is tough to transport infantry all the way across the board after some artillery just destroyed the only unit on the ground that can take a building you are surrounding. Maybe there could be an air transport option; that would be realistic. All in all, it is a pretty good game and not just a hack. I do not see any glaring bugs, there are some annoying rules, but at least they are consistent for the enemy too.
