What's New in Version 1.0.1
- Game world changed in two areas fixing critical issues encountered by players.
- UI fixes.
- Changed Glitch graphics mode to something different.
This game is amazing.
Though not for everyone...
If you have a lot of patience and like to test your ability to remember places and routes, and look for secrets even under the very floor, this is the game!
Only thing I didnt like so much was that the PC version comes with an useful map and this one doesnt. The map does make things too easy sometimes, but something in the middle of the 2 would have been perfect!
The music also gets on some people's nerves, sadly, cause it is always the same 5 seconds looping, but I personally loved the style! It is very eerie sounding and gets me in the mood quickly.
I dont think this emulates atari or commodore64 super faithfully, but its a really beautiful mix of the 2!
Astronot is it's own type of system.
If only the music was a bit longer and there was a little map somewhere, this game would be a full 5/5.
Please make more like this!!!!!
Simple retro fun
It's a return to the 8bit days where exploration and gameplay mattered; not lengthy cut scenes or pseudo-interactive button moments or so-called adventure games that are just on-rail shooters in disguise or worse, hidden object games.
You're an astronaut trapped on an alien world trying to figure out what's going on. You shoot bad things, flip switches, explore and explore and explore. Upgrades are around which help you shoot jump and run and find mysterious green squares.
Negatives would be not restarting from where you died, it's easy to get list and some rooms are literal dead ends meaning you'll get killed for entering them.
If you miss the older days of simple games with huge worlds to explore and simple gameplay mechanics you'll likely enjoy this. You can try the lite version for free then import that saved game into the full retail version.
I've just bought the full version, and I'm about to import my save on the Lite version. It's worth supporting this developer so he can know that we enjoy his work, and want more from him. Really fun game, makes me want to finish Prime and try the original Metroid.
Also, the included "mods" in the Video options are a nice little treat. Definitely a plus for a gamer who likes little bits of odd content, like myself.
