I've never taken the time to review an app, despite having my tried and true favorites. Atomic Web Browser, however, is the most worthy I've found, and I'm therefore obligated to share why and encourage others to treat themselves to it.
For me, having the best full-screen mode, offering the most numerous and compatible user agent options, allowing the download and subsequent manipulation of files, and being able to operate to the fullest in such a clean, streamlined environment puts this 'app' on the front of my iPhone's screen and at the top of my list.
If you are a power user, who wants to squeeze every bit of prowess from his or her phone, then this is the app that is going to allow you to do it. Every facet of functionality you could possibly want has been carefully conceived and seamlessly integrated to create a smooth, polished experience. There's nothing you can't do with this browser.
Apart from its unique features, Atomic Web Browser also boasts a significant increase in general speed and usability. See if you don't notice a difference compared to other forerunners such as Chrome, Dolphin, or even the native web-kit-infused Safari. Furthermore, the myriad of customization options it brings to the table tailor the experience to your particular needs and create a personalized perspective from which to browse the web.
Your view is only as good as the window through which you're looking.

iPad version not as good as iPhone version--needs an update
Still no update. What's going on? Browser keeps crashing with more than 5 tabs open. Many UI improvements needed. App is dead without updates.
I have tried most iBrowsers and this one is definitely the best by a considerable margin on both the iPhone and iPad. Best is a relative concept however--that's not to say that MANY improvements are not needed. The latest iPad version (6.0.1) is behind the iPhone version. Scrolling is very unpleasant. It's choppy at best, even with no tabs open and all private data and cache purged. I am using this on the iPad Retina Display and I suspect it has not been updated to accommodate the extra pixels (twice as many). This seems to be a common problem. Another highly irritating problem is when I try to hold down on a link in Goggle to bring up the dialog that allows me to open the link in a new background tab, most of the times nothing happens. I have to hold down the link in different places and hope the dialog comes up. I often have to do this 5-10 times. Unacceptable. I rarely have to do it more than once on the iPhone version. I have written to the developers twice now about this and they never reply. The app hasn't been updated since Dec 8, 2011. That's a bad sign considering the problems people are having. I was hoping the app would evolve and at least APPROACH Firefox in functionality. This is not happening. Maybe someone will come up with a new improved iBrowser. Please?
Filter the junk
This app keeps me sane and for the moment is one of the few things preventing me from ditching iOS and Apple mobile devices altogether.
As a regular desktop user for years, I'm used to filtering out the spam ads and pop-ups that litter the web, which makes it really difficult to suddenly get inundated with that stuff on Safari with no way to filter it out. I don't want my ipad battery and mental sanity drained by video web ads that play without warning and endless Outbrain links to stories about the "one weird trick" that will solve every one of life's problems. I also don't like getting spammed with links to SEO-bait garbage when I'm reading legitimate news sources. I'm looking at you, HuffPo, Bleacher Report, Zergnet, Upworthy and all the other content mills that harass web users to click on your garbage content.
Atomic gives you the ability to filter most of that stuff out without crippling your ability to surf the web and see the content you want. It's not perfect, and it's not quite a desktop browsing experience, but it's the closest thing available on the ipad. For that reason, and for some stability issues that cause the browser to crash at seemingly random times, I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars. I hope Atomic continues to improve, and as long as it does, I will be a supporter. Thanks for making web browsing on iOS tolerable.
