Bad Idea Auburn

I understand why Auburn has decided to try to reward students who actually attend sporting events with the first dibs on tickets. This will keep people who have no intention of going to games from buying a full season and selling their tickets for a much higher price for their own profit. However, I think the use of this app is unfair and a very bad idea. It excludes any students who do not have a smart phone, or whose phone may not be with them or may be dead during any particular sporting event that they are at. It also makes it unfair to all of the upperclassmen who have patiently waited their turn to be able to buy their full season of home game tickets and any away game tickets that they want. This is a privilege that has always been reserved for upperclassmen, but after only one year of using the app, all sophomores, juniors, and seniors will have the opportunity to have the same number of points. I will be a senior next year, and I will be very disappointed if I am not able to purchase all of the games of my choosing for my senior year because sophomores who accumulated the same number of points as myself during this year got to get to purchase their tickets before or at the same time as me. Maybe a combination of class and points could be used, but points alone is unfair after only one year of accumulation. If students want to buy and resell their tickets, that should be their choice. If younger students would refuse to pay the ridiculously high prices that these students demand, they would have to sell their package for less anyways. This app is fine, but I do not like the purpose of it at all.
