Open up new worlds of creative music making possibilities with Audiobus, the app that lets you use your music apps together, just like virtual cables.
Send live audio or MIDI from one Audiobus-compatible app or Audio Unit to another: add effects on top of your favourite synth, use your favourite step sequencer to drive the whole lot, and record it all in your favourite DAW, sampler or looper. Plug in a MIDI keyboard, run it through an arpeggiator or a key quantizer, and record the result in your DAW, or drive several different sound generators with a keyboard splitter. The possibilities are endless.
Then save your setup in a preset to be restored with one touch later on.
With a completely new MIDI routing system, support for Apple's new Audio Unit Extensions standard, a new built-in mixer, and huge new workflow improvements, Audiobus 3 represents a big step forward for mobile music making.
Audiobus has a rich community of over a thousand great compatible apps, including:
- Korg Gadget
- Loopy HD
and many more. See the full list at https://audiob.us/apps.

Audiobus now provides a Virtual MIDI Bridge output for sending to apps that don't support Audiobus or IAA MIDI like GarageBand. This version also enables network MIDI input and output. Other improvements:
- Fixed an issue with effect lag associated with bypass mode
- Fixed an issue where using the system audio input in one of multiple pipelines to an output app could result in audio lag or silence
- Fixed left/right edge screen lag for AUX keyboard
- Fixed an occasional crash when switching presets with the same AU present, and sped up preset switching
- Fixed a crash caused by some strangely-behaving effect apps

Still just ok
Ever since I got my 10.5 ...I bought BeatMaker 3...hoping to transition from my iPhone to a larger format...I mainly use NI iMaschine2...which is getting long in the tooth ..but I’m highly efficient and it is my goto pocket production tool. Moving on to the iPad I wanted a newer updated experience using some of my soft synths I love but couldn’t incorporate with iMaschine2 easily so I purchased AudioCopy to make it a reality...
Honestly I hate the way I have to connect it through beatmaker3.. there’s no easy way to use it with out coming out of the bm3...I can’t change patches...it’s clumbersome..and don’t see a need to use it since bm3 can see most of my synths through audio units...
So that’s a waste of money to me and for my workflow...it’s meh!
Tried several synths through several apps then to system output. No audio. Waste of $10.
Already a must-have for serious play
And this becomes more so, with every update
