AudioShare - audio document manager
By Kymatica (Jonatan Liljedahl)
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
A sound file manager with powerful import and export abilities. If you are using music-making apps, then this tool is a must-have!
Organize all your soundfiles and midifiles on your device. Record, trim, convert, normalize, upload, download, export, import, zip, unzip. Create folders, rename and move files and folders around, put everything where you can find it.
Built-in Inter-App Audio host with 4 node slots. Record Inter-App Audio compatible instruments and effects, or process files through the chain!
Use it to transfer files between apps and between your device and computer. For example, import a soundfile from your dropbox or music library, and share it on SoundCloud. Or audiocopy sounds from your favorite music-making app and import into the AudioShare library for later sharing or copying into other apps. Or record your live-jam from other Audiobus-apps.
You can record directly in the app, from hardware, Inter-App Audio, or other Audiobus compatible apps. Preview and play soundfiles with waveform display and looping, trim and normalize soundfiles, and convert to other file formats.
• Record external input (such as microphone) directly in app
• Record the live output of other Audiobus-compatible apps
• Record Inter-App Audio node apps
• AudioPaste (Sonoma Wireworks, General pasteboard, Retronyms ACP2.0)
• Import files & folders from Dropbox.
• Download soundfiles from the web with built-in browser
• "Open in" from other app
• iTunes file sharing

A necessary "band-aid" for shortcomings of iOS and other music apps
AudioShare is a difficult app to describe because it does so many different things. I feel like I still haven't fully discovered the different things you can do with it. But chances are, if you have a fair amount of music apps and like to record music on your iDevice, you probably need this app.
The best way to describe AudioShare is that it's a robust file management system for an operating system that really doesn't allow file management. The app itself allows for import/export with DropBox. And since it can link with other music apps via AudioCopy, AudioBus, or IAA, it basically imparts DropBox connectivity to other apps that don't have it (but should). I've used AudioShare to import drumkits into apps, store tracks and finished products, and countless other tasks.
It also has the ability to convert wav files into m4a and other compressed formats (but not mp3), and has one of the best interfaces for trimming down audio files. It's an app that probably should have been obsolete awhile ago, but since so many music apps lack basic features like DropBox, AudioShare becomes your warehouse for content, and for getting content on and off your device.
The Missing Link
Update: this app remains over a year since I wrote this review, still one of the most important audio production apps I have on my iOS devices.
I consider it just is important as Audiobus.
I have pretty much every app this developer has done. And I treasure all of them. This is someone who really works from a position of knowing what musicians on iOS devices will want and need.
This app is so important if you record a lot of music or compose a lot. It helps you organize, transfer - ie import and export a lot of your work and play to other apps and other places where you need to put them.
Until you get this app, you might not realize how much you need it. But once you do, you'll wonder how you did without it. It's an essential part of my Audiobus chain It will become one of yours, believe me.
Just what I needed
This app is great...does what it says and they keep adding more features.
On the first use of this app I grabbed all of the various audiopasted song files from several different apps tha!t had been lingering in my iPad2's memory for a long time. Once I had all my the files saved, I began the clean up process, and then after only a few minutes I had it completely organized.
But that's a fraction of what this app does for me. It is the hub of all the sound files and it is so easy to use I found myself just recording voice work right into it. No need to go elsewhere and then to use it with Audiobus, and IAA, you're almost unlimited in what you can accomplish.
This app is as many have stated...a must have app.
