What People are Saying:

“Now every birder can have the equivalent of a rare bird alert and comprehensive field guide wrapped into a single mobile app.” - Gary Langham, vice president and chief scientist for Audubon

“Instead of the hefty field guides, the apps give the nature photographer a very portable and lightweight library of natural history information.” – Jim Clark, Outdoor Photographer Magazine

AppPicker (“Best of” Lists, Jan 2013): “Audubon Birds…largely regarded as the best bird watching app…”

“All I can say is WOW and double WOW! I have had Audubon Birds for a couple of years and have seen it grow into the BEST bird app for iOS! ...I am just blown away with all the new additions. My favorite is showing all the birds in a group (thumbnails) and when tapped lightly the name shows up. What a way to learn new birds. I just cannot express how much I love the update. Thank you…” - E Uhls

Customer Reviews

Great app, but I wish you did the same for your other guides!

I have loved all of the Audubon apps and find them very useful. That is, the ones you still support. I love Audubon, but I am incredibly disappointed in the way you have handled the other apps including the guides on Butterflies, Fishes, Fishes of the Caribbean, Insects & Spiders, Mammals, Mushrooms, Reptiles & Amphibians, Trees, and Wildflowers. None of these apps can even be found on the app store anymore. I find it very disloyal to your customers to discontinue apps that they have purchased. If they were free, I wouldn't have a problem, but many of those apps won't even work anymore since IOS 11. Please update the apps or issue a refund to all of your customers.

Pretty sweet

Very informative and really brings your attention to the birds around you which can be easy to ignore if you don't know what they're called or sound like. Was never a bird watcher before but after a few minutes in the app I became really interested. Bird watching is such a simple relaxing activity.

Very Good Birding App

Most birds very easy to identify. Works in woods with no wi-fi. Great ID pictures with special feature call outs. Has become my primary ID app.
